Back to the Biscuit for Brunch

This morning's brunch was more fun than usual because I had company! I met [livejournal.com profile] zimzat and [livejournal.com profile] machupicchu at the Serious Biscut. It's an easy place to drive to and, on Sunday mornings, parking is free and plentiful but I decided to take the bus and trolley.

Yesterday I developed a cough and I was not breathing as easily as I have been so I dug out my rescue inhaler and took some anti-cough pills the doctor gave me for just such an occasion. I have always been healthy and once I stopped working around people, I haven't had a cold or the flu. And now that I have half the lungs I used to, I want to make sure I don't ever get either or anything else. So I'm vigilant.

And I'm always testing... what can I do comfortably? More or less than I could yesterday or last week?

So today's test was walking. Was yesterday an aberration? I walked to the bus tunnel, then from the downtown tunnel to the trolley stand and then learned my test was to turn to an exam. I was supposed to meet Matthew and Russell at 9:30 Turns out the trolley does not start until 10 am on Sundays.

So I hoofed it and with some speed so that I wouldn't be late. I hate being late. I got there 4 minutes early. Beat Matthew. And I was still breathing! Nice. And a relief.

I took the trolley back to the bus back to home and it was all fine. I'm sure now that yesterday was just a breathing blip and all is cool.

At home, I changed the sheets on the bed and did a couple of loads of laundry. I washed my swim suits and towels. I usually just rinse out the suits but I figured a good washing couldn't hurt since they are going to get a rest for a couple of weeks.

Then I fiddled with the internet radios. I moved their server over to the faux server computer and then set them all up again. I need to get a powerline or extender for the bedroom one. It's too far from the router to maintain consistent wifi and any little blip fucks up the alarm. Not critical - the alarm goes off just not with the radio station. I'll get something from Amazon once I get the credit for the netbooks I traded in.

Now I'm watching the Mariners win their third... yes, THIRD, game in a row. They are playing Colorado. I wish we could play them for a few dozen more games.
