I'm enjoying my favorite kind of Sunday morning.  In bed.  A giant cat snuggled in my lap.  NPR on the radio.  Just piddling on the computer - reading journals and blogs.  Slow and lazy.

Yesterday afternoon I got an invitation to brunch at a place I've never been to and always wanted to try.  He said he'd treat if I'd drive.  Such a deal!!  Delightful.  I have more than an hour before it's time to  leave.

In yesterday's entry I mentioned making quiche muffins.  I used to make them all the time and then fell out of the habit  I started to make them yesterday and then realized I hadn't thawed the sausage so I figured I'd do them today.  Last night [livejournal.com profile] elf_owl asked me about them and I looked up the recipe that channel 5 published to share the link.  And... realized I have no cream!  So I'll get some this morning while I'm out and make them today.

And laundry.  There will be laundry done today

I don't have a clear picture of next week yet - especially in regard to work - there may be a huge pile and there may be just small bits.  Tuesday the electrician comes to see what we do about breaking the circuit.  Thursday Amira comes to clean.  And there will be aqua aerobics every day.

I realized at Friday's and Saturday's class that I didn't lose all in my progress taking more than 2 weeks off.  I felt good.  My body remembered what to do and how to do it correctly.  It felt like I'd been scrunched in a corner for weeks and finally was able to stretch everything out and make them work.  Really nice.  There is nothing that really feels as good as exercise in the water.

Having THE most elegant brunch... Details to follow.

I had the best brunch with [livejournal.com profile] ljtourist.  It's so wierd.  We have so very little in common and yet never lack for something interesting and fun to chat about.  It's actually pretty fun to spend quality conversation time with someone who has polar opposite opinions and interests.  We probably share many opinions, actually, we just never hit on them.

We were talking about Tom Douglas restaurants.  Turns out I like only two of them and they are the two that he would take the first and second pass on every time!  He is studying for an advanced degree in physics.  If my only choice was a root canal or having to go to school to study anything, I'd have to think long and hard to come of with one I could accommodate without slitting my wrists.  I got a useless BA degree in math because while I enjoyed the math, I hated the science part - particularly physics with a passion.

But, we had a great great 3 hour brunch!!

Then I came home to two big chores.  I have kind of a blanket chest to keep the litter stuff in.  There's a hole on the side for cat access and the lid lifts so I can get into it.  It's been way too long since I tore the whole thing apart and cleaned it all out.  I did that today.  Dumped out all the litter and cleaned up everything and set it back up again.

Then I made up the quiche muffins.  They are in the oven and the stuff I used to make them are all in the dishwasher getting clean.  Oh and there's laundry in the washer.

Great meal and still a productive day.  And it's only mid-afternoon.

The winning Mariner have, apparently, left the village and have been replace by the usuals.  They are losing 8-1 in the 8th now. At least it will be over soon and they don't play tomorrow.
