I've always wanted to try Tollhouse cookies. Have heard about them in novels, but have no idea what they're like. For some reason, I imagine shortbread. Any chance of a recipe - pretty please?!

Just about any brand of chocolate chips should have a recipe on the back of the bag. It's just another expression for the usual chocolate chip cookie recipe.

This is the same recipe I use. I think the real key is to pack the brown sugar down tightly in the measuring cup. Mmmm, now I'm getting a craving for warm toll house cookies.

It seems like every chip bag has the same recipe, but I haven't checked too rigorously. In any case, I think it's fair to say that "toll house cookies" is a synonym for "chocolate chip cookies", even if one particular recipe is superior to others.
