My favorite thing so far is the trash shoot two doors down. Heaven.

I found the power cord for the living room TV and got it hooked up.

I got the ethernet dongle but I'm not up for tackling Xfinity tonight.

Marketing brought by a plant which will die soon and chocolates. But, thankfully did not stay to chat. The meal that Kavier bought was perfect.

Julio is still under the bed. Biggie went to talk to him and got growled at. I found the bed remote. I set up a clock so when I wake up at 3 am I'll know it's 3 am. Coffee is set up and ready. Toaster's plugged in and bread is thawed.

Next up is to clear shit off the bed. Clear shit off the kitchen island. Trim my jagged fingernails. Take a shower and go to bed. My body feels like it's been hit by a truck.

As predicted, Biggie loves the sofa. He can sit right here next to me and still see out the window.

At midnight I woke up with a start. Where were the cat carriers?? I had put them on the bed meaning do not pack or at least I thought I did, but they were nowhere to be found. So I got up and broke into every bedroom box except three I could not reach. I found Biggie's but I did not find Julio's. I sent an email to Natashia apologizing.

She's not happy but I don't care. They asked when it was not clear. Why would I not want the cat carriers when I'm moving??? But, no ask. Worst case, after everything is gone, I can go over to Goodwill and buy another one. But, Natasha's reply indicates she will find it so I'm choosing not to worry.

Her reply also reported that the elevator we need at Timber Ridge is still broken. That's a major PIA.

Now I'm waiting for the third bad thing to happen.

It's now 7 and I have tucked away all the stuff and emptied the litter robot. They are fascinated by the little temporary box o' litter now in the bathroom. Natashia will pack the rest. After everything is out, I still have cables and cords to retrieve. My back is already sore.

I put out the one carrier in the living room and there was much investigation. I got a great One Minute A Day last shot of the month, last shot of the condo... I fed them this morning but did not leave the food out long. I want Julio hungry when it's time to capture him.

The movers will be here at 8:30 as will Natasha. I figure it will take about 2 hours til they are done. Natasha does not want me at Timber Ridge until they have unpacked but she's just going to have to deal. I'm going to get there when I get there. I'm at the end of my moving spoons.

done.

Three women got here about 8:45 and they were done and gone by 11:45. My house is in boxes. I made a video. I am exhausted and starving.

One of the three was a really young girl with orange eyelashes. She was a nimble pixie. Pop up there and grab that camera and tetris thing. She was on that counter and had it done in a flash. I went upstairs to get the gynomous ladder out of the closet and it nearly broke me getting it down here. I left it in the hallway. She went and got it, set it up, carefully retrieved my stained glass panels and took it back like it was a 2 foot step ladder. I'm fairly sure I was never that young and nimble.

But, it's all done. And in boxes. Except for stuff I need tonight, the TV and the food in the fridge. The head lady will be back tomorrow to pack up the rest and the other two will go to Timber Ridge and start assembling furniture.

The cats went nuts. Biggie was front and center, in every box, on top of the stacks of wrapping paper. Everywhere. Julio was under the bed. But, after a while, Julio came out to help. All three ladies were very kind and amused by them.

My friend, Frank, is coming over tomorrow to help me get them into the carriers. Biggie, I'm not so worried about but catching Julio in an empty condo is going to be a challenge. I'm so grateful for Frank.

I'm also starving. I wanted some fried chicken but when I logged into Grubhub I see they no longer do Ezell's and don't have a good Plan B but they do have a new terriyaki place so I ordered lunch and dinner. It should be here in about 30.

Oh and I ran into one of the guys from the crew who are working on the roof project. He's been in and out of here a jillion times and is so nice. He saw all the boxes and asked "are you moving?" and when I said yes, he said "oh, I am so not happy about that!" How sweet.

They left a bunch of boxes in front of Julio's window. He's not happy about that!

Anyway, honestly, I think the worst is over. And I'm grateful.

I've been culling for years. And then I had trash haulers come get half my stuff in September. Of the rest, more than half is being donated and still I have sooooo much stuff!! I packed a lot myself into large plastic bins. About a dozen of them. And still sooooo many boxes needed to pack the rest in.

My toothbrush only move is a laugh.

There are three wonderful packers and they really do know what they are doing. I am so glad I hired them. Well worth the coin.

But how is there still so much stuff???
susandennis: (Default)
It is just now 6 am. I have:

fed the cats
been to mcdonalds to get breakfast
had coffee and breakfast
taken a shower
cleaned the shower floor
put the shower stuff into the wash
made another cup of coffee

And now I'm resting. The packers won't be here til 8:30. Also Biggie is draped over my arm.

ooops. I packed up the Eeros in the bedroom and sewing room and turns out the one in the living room isn't enough for the washing machine. It's totally offline. Yikes. I'm going to have to check it in person!! What kind of luddite-ism is this???

I suspect the packers will be done by lunch or early afternoon. And then... more waiting.
susandennis: (Default)
My back is broken. It has a serious case of move-itis. The next thing I need to do is take all the jackets and coats and hoodies off the hooks in the hallway and hang them on hangers but I don't have the energy.

I have gotten a lot done today. Tomorrow if I wake up early, I'll make a McDonald's run. If not I'll just have coffee and call it breakfast. Oh wait, no, I think I have a burrito in the freezer. Then shower and dress and pop the shower curtain in the dryer so they can pack it. I think I have all my do not pack stuff segregated and safe.

I got a lot of the tech unhooked today. Not all, but a lot.

Some more will go tomorrow and some will go when I do, on Tuesday.

I took a load of garbage down to the dumpsters. There are two for garbage. Building manager, Jathan, has one locked - no announcement or notice or reason either sent in email or with signate on the dumpster. So the one left is overflowing. I added to the pile. I will miss Jathan and his annoying shenanigans not one tiny single bit.

When you sell a house, you are supposed to disclose issues. I feel like I should warn any buyers about that little pissant. I won't but I'll feel guilty for not.

Now it's time to put my feet up and watch CBS Sunday Morning while I work on the sleeves of my sweater.
susandennis: (Default)
Tomorrow the house will be filled with packers. Tuesday it will all get gone. But today is mine. The last day of just me and this condo.

I think back to when I moved in. They had just finished renovating the old railroad warehouse into 108 condos. Maybe 10% had been sold so most were empty and unlocked. I made friends with other residents and we spent our free time wandering in and out of the empty units - they are all different - making sure we had each picked the best one.

One dude moved in a table saw and proceeded to build in crown molding throughout his unit. He moved out a year later. Across the hall, a hair dresser bought the unit and proceeded to serve clients there - very against the rules and mix chemicals and finally brew up some meth and trash the place. When he moved out, it was wrecked and there was a toilet in the living room.

But all that was 30 years ago. Now the neighborhood has grown up and most of the units have been changed and sold and resold. The population is varied and I wish them all well. I look forward to severing all ties. Hopefully.

Today, it's finishing touches. I need to take at least one and probably more loads of shit down to the dumpster.

OMG Julio just climbed into my lap and Biggie isn't even nearby. He just curled up into a little ball right here. He's never done that before! Wild.

PXL_20231029_155228621.MP

Yesterday I found the two of them like this - they had carved a space out of the chaos and spent the afternoon there. Biggie alone would have been hard to spot!

PXL_20231028_234433911.MP

The back room (where they were) is done - all donations. The bedroom is done - all going to Timber Ridge.

The kitchen is mostly done. I am going to eat the last steak from the freezer with some frites today and then I'll make a sandwich for dinner and wash all the dishes and call the kitchen done. The living room just needs organizing. Picking up the cat toys mainly and gathering the shit I need for the next two days and putting the rest in the move boxes. There are still a lot of electronics to unplug and pack up, as well.

I will be very glad to see the end of this move, that's for sure.
susandennis: (Default)
I keep finding stuff that isn't done yet. How is this possible?? Little things here and there but really. And things to figure out - cat food, cat water after all is packed up. Gathering up all the keys and fobs and leaving them somewhere. OMG here is a giant stack o' papers from a refi in 2002. This house is small compared to a lot but it's giant when you consider all the shit in here. I am so relieved to be going to a smaller place.

Someone started telling me the rules for adding a storage bin to my parking area and I said STOP!! I do not even want to know about places to put more stuff.

I made the Amazon return and got a bagel sandwich for lunch. It was tasty and Biggie just hopped up here for what I thought was a lap session but, turned out he only wanted to lick the cream cheese off my sweatshirt. Thanks, bud.

And I realized that xfinity is going to want me to plug a computer into the ethernet port of the modem. I'm not sure where my USB ethernet dongle is and if it works. Amazon fixing that issue with a delivery on Monday.

After they pack up everything on Monday, what am I going to do for coffee on Tuesday? Holy crap on a stick, that really nice McDonald's a mile from here is open 24 hours!! Who knew? I can pop down there and pick up breakfast Tuesday.

It's little shit like that that is driving me nuts right now. Also I'm waiting for the fridge to make enough ice so I can unplug the nugget ice maker and give it a good cleaning. It's long overdue.

and... now the laundry is done.
susandennis: (Default)
Tomorrow is a home Seahawks game so no getting the car out for anything. Monday is packing day and Tuesday is moving day. So today is the last normal day in my condo. I have an Amazon to return and I need butter so I'll pop out to Amazon Fresh sometime today and do both.

When I was at Timber Ridge yesterday, I hooked up the TV to cable. I got no signal so I put in an IT work order. The guy went in after I left to 'fix' it. I looked at the work order later and discovered that he had to call Xfinity. They will be out Monday. I have 3 TV outlets. The only one that works is the one I have no interest in using. So glad I thought to check that. Hopefully, it will be fixed by Tuesday. But, the critical internet component won't be connected until I call and set up my own account. And I can't do that until I unhook the modem here and take it there. Tuesday. It may be Wednesday before I have good wifi but at least I will have their wifi to get me by.

All the Timber Ridge checks have now cleared and my accounts are back to reality. Whew. When I move out, I get 80% of the big payment back - $390,400. If I'm dead, it goes to my estate. BUT I also learned on Thursday, that if I don't die or move out, they will give it to me after I've lived there 30 years. This cracked me up. Big Paaarrrtay when I'm 104.

Biggie is in major cuddle mode. If I make a lap, he is on it. He is snuggled beside me in bed the entire time I am there. His kitty antennae are working overtime. He will be so happy in the space. Windows in two rooms but, I think the biggest delight will be the couch. He can sit right next to me and still have his own space. And Julio has never even seen a couch. It will be fun.

Today there will be lots of lap time but also I'll me making the first pass at segregating the rest of the stuff and getting ready for barebones of Monday and Tuesday. What's the minimum I will need? Toothbrush, cat food... etc. My plan is to start at the front door and make sure it is very clear which piles are Move and which piles are Donate and that everything but the bare bones is in a pile. And I think I'll do a load of laundry.

First of all only 5 sleeps til I move. I think I can make it from here.

Today I take ownership of my new place. It's actually not ownership. It's actually kind of a weird lease.

I will have paid $488,000 as kind of a first and last month's rent. 80% of that will come back to me when I leave. But, since I'll probably be dead, that 80% will go to my estate. So it's really no longer my money. (Except, there is a weird 'out' to the 'lease'. If I decide I hate the place and want to move within 4 months, no harm no foul - I get it all back.)

So my ownership is more like a lease on steroids.

$5,211 per month for the place, all utilities, about 20 meals and an enormous number of services and benefits.

I will pay for boosted internet, my subscriptions (TV, books), yarn and cat food.

Today I sign the papers and get the key and the garage fob. At 11 am today.

Bret was here and he told me as optimistically as he could that selling this place is going to take a miracle. Interest rates are too high. The building fixes are still causing problems with mortgages. And the real estate market is crawling with downtown condos nearly at a standstill.

He said that the guy who was president of the HOA last year (aka the asshole) and his husband (aka the idiot) have decided they don't like it here and are moving. They spent a fortune on renovations. And Bret says they are planning to just leave it empty for a while. ??

Less competition for me!

I'm moving ahead with everything. First painting and then carpet and then cleaning then photos then virtual staging. He said he's shooting for mid-November to put it on the market.

I only need one buyer. And as he left he said "This place will sell." So, I'm not going to stress about it. Hey, Frank, you wanna reconsider? Bret's ready to deal!

You know how I cracked wise about that pricey medicine not working? I was wrong. It is working! Today is the first day in I don't even know how long that my ears do not itch!!! And is no longer tender to the touch. I am sure glad I went and glad I spent the $$. I looked at his visit notes and then had google translate and it's swimmer's ear. And I haven't even been swimming!!! He said not to get it wet for a week. I have a date with the fitness lady to get oriented so I can swim in the pool a week from today. Will I be swimming? I'll play it by ear. (how many saw that one coming? hahahahahaha)

My breakfast hot dog is wearing off... may have to find some dinner here soon.

Before you sign on the dotted line, the sales person is your slave. Can we do that? OF COURSE, WE CAN! HAPPY TO! After you sign on the dotted line, that person morphs instantly into your enemy. Can we do that? Are you nuts? NFW.

I knew this would happen with Timber Ridge and I planned for it. But, it's still annoying. Furniture assembly - two weeks ago. Our maintenance people can do that for you. Furniture assembly today - our maintenance people might do it but there will probably be a wait. We recommend you hire someone.

Bite me.

So next up is the very expensive moving services company... They, too, promised full service - we'll put the sheets on your bed... skip that, kids, just put my furniture together. Email out to ask, we'll see.

Pam at Timber Ridge did give me a link to a handy man app she says they have had very good experiences with - it's firefighters. Hydrant Like Task Rabbit only, maybe, hunky adults. I'm ok with that. They appear to be a bit pricey. If Natasha with moving services, whines about doing it, the firefighters are next.

Worst case, I'll do it myself but that will involve WAY more whining.

And, yes, the carpet is in. I could have moved this week.

Oh well.

I think it was because of the lack of food, that I ate all day yesterday. Or I feel like I did. I polished off stuff out of the freezer and stuff out of the fridge and more. There wasn't much there to start with and now, there is way less.

It is very weird to open up the freezer and see everything. I mean I don't have to open a drawer or move anything to take complete inventory.

I think I'll make a run to Thriftway (a semi fancy market). They have good cooked meals and some cookies that I'd like to stock up on.

The litter robot situation is now all settled in. They are using it consistently. The way it works is that they go in and pee or poop and leave and then 15 minutes later, it rotates and drops any clumps. The 15 minute wait is to give the pee time to clump. But, in my case it's in hopes that Julio will be long gone by the time it rotates. He loves the rotates. The minute it starts, he gets back in to investigate. This stops the rotation. It then starts back up after he's out... in 30 seconds. So he gets back in. Last week, it would take sometimes an hour to do a whole cycle but now he's not quite as vigilant and sometimes doesn't get back in at all.

The beauty is, however, that 1. the litter stays in the machine instead of on my floor and in my bed. and 2. NO sifting through poop and pee to remove the clumps every day. Right now, the app says the collection tray is 30% full. It falls into a bag which, when full or fuller, I'll pull out and toss and replace. Soooooooooo nice.

I was wrong about the Amazon 6% no rush shipping reward being gone. It popped up again this morning. Their algorithms are so complex.

All of the essentials for the new apartment have been selected and purchased. The sofa arrives on moving day - Oct 31. The dresser and dining chairs come the next day. We are using chunky white shelving in several places like the living room TV. That's all coming from IKEA and should be in its flat boxes in my unit by move in day. My game plan now is to look into hiring Timber Ridge maintenance peops to assemble them as well as the sewing cabinet. Also hang the ironing board on the wall.

I made a giant list last night of all the various parts and pieces and when they are coming from where and if/how they were paid for and how much. I have written checks for stuff that have not yet been cashed and have credit card charges for others and have not yet been invoiced for some. It's kind of a massive juggling act at this point.

I decided to hold off on counter stools for now. I am going to move in and then see if I even want them. I remembered that I bought some for this kitchen which has a long peninsula. I never used them and finally after years of tripping over them, I gave them to goodwill. It would be great to avoid the clutter.

There are other things like a full length mirror and closet hooks that I know I want but want to live there for a bit and decide what kind and where.

My new apartment is nestled on the side of a mini mountain. Best I can tell, the elevation is about 1,000-1,200 feet. Last night's weather forecaster said that this week there could be snow down that far!! SNOW!! This is something I had not considered. I will be able to watch the snow and stay snug as a bug in a rug complete with not even having to step outside to get meals. This could be very very good.
susandennis: (Default)
It is 9 days until moving day.

As if I didn't spend enough money out shopping yesterday, last night my fingers bought more stuff online. And, I learned that my Amazon options are going to change dramatically.

When I select items now, I'm generally given lots of options. I can get it today from 2-6 or 3-10 or tomorrow 6-10 with a $25 or $35 order. I can select no rush shipping with $1 electronic credit (sadly the 6% cash back deal seems gone). And I can generally always find Amazon or third party stuff that will be here in 2 days tops. When I use this address.

when I use my Issaquah address, the options dwindle quickly. Same day, overnight and no rush options disappear entirely.

Hilariously, there is one item that I can't get their programming to delay sufficiently yet. I want a set of nesting tables delivered to Issaquah after the 30th and so far the only option is the 27th. Oh, wait! I'll be kosher on the 27th and they can just put the box in my unit! Now ordered! (I can get stuff put in my unit before the closing but that's by asking for a special favor and stuff I don't need yet doesn't warrant bothering them.)

My ear hurts less yesterday and today but now itches way more. It's itched for years but is now sore because of a little pimple just inside the opening which appears to be healing. But, it is driving me crazy.

Today's big agenda item is getting rid of the old litter box. They are both using the litter robot now. And, while I'm sure they would love for me to clean out the old litter box and leave it, that ain't happening. Daily scooping is over for me. The litter robot is maybe 4 feet from my bed and I've been putting it to sleep at night - they can use it, it just won't run the cleaning cycle. Last night, I forgot, and this morning I discovered that Julio used it last night and it ran the cleaning cycle and I didn't even hear it. So... no more litter robot sleeping and no more old litter box.

Then I can clean up all the litter from the bathroom floor and surrounding area. They don't kick litter out of the robot at all - at least not so far.

Seems like a few weeks ago, I said that it was my last Seahawks home game. Wrong. They have one today and one next Sunday. So... locked in here. I'm kind of out of food. I could go up to Uwajimaya and might. Or, make do. I have eggs and bacon and toaster waffles. Or and sausages. And pasta. Ok, I'm fine. But tomorrow, there should be a grocery run.

I'm very excited about getting all the stuff for the apartment. I can now really imagine what it will be like - 9 days to go.
susandennis: (Default)
I got an email this morning from the new resident coordinator. She said she had some closing preparation binders for me and when was I going to be in the area? ??? Er How about now?

So I hopped in the car and headed east. Happily the sun was not out. That drive is one big glare when it is. So I got there easily and comfortably. Mary is really nice and has the most luxurious hair of anyone I've ever seen. And she had a boatload of papers.

Turns out the famous Kavier, whom I have yet to meet, is now out with an 'emergency appendectomy'. Has anyone ever had a non-emergency appendectomy? Aren't they all kind of emergencies?

Ok, I'm back. If I had not read the community website from front to back and back to front, I'd have been a little overwhelmed but turns out I knew most of what she told me. Every department - security, health, recreation, fitness, social, admin, food, etc. wants info about the new kid. So there area a million forms with duplicate info. Every single one wants to know my emergency contact. I think maybe it's possible I now have my brother's phone number memorized.

I did all that - the form filling - when I got home. While I was still there, she went over a bunch of stuff and answered my questions and gave me the forms to take home, fill out and bring back next Thursday.

Then I went to All The Best Pets to get CBD calming drops for the cats. I tried to get some yesterday but I went to the closet All The Best Pets and THE only person in the store - one single clerk, no customers - said they didn't have any - without even asking me a question. I am sure they did but he couldn't be bothered waiting on an actual customer. Today's guy was the opposite. So I got the goods and then came home.

When I got home I got a text from Frank asking if I was up for a little visit. YES!! Perfect. I thought that was a great idea and texted him back. And then sat down and filled out my brother's phone number a million times.

Also I realized I not only do not have a copy of my Long Term Care policy (which they want) I don't even know the name of the company or how to get a copy. I got the policy years ago through my financial advisor so I sent him an email asking who to ask. He replied really fast and said he'd have a copy sent to me. Yeah!

I gathered all the docs that I have in PDF and sent them to Mary. I still need my car registration and medicare and Humana cards to take for them to copy.

I gave permission for them to tell others if I was in the hospital or on vacation. Permission to enter my apartment when I'm not there (for packages/maintenance/cleaning). Permission to use my photograph. Details on my car. Details on how to get their monthly fee out of my bank every month and about a million other things. Whew.

But it's done. And ready. But, where's Frank? Well, turns out, I answered his text at the web page. Google recently did something new to their messages web page and now it updates itself every few minutes and it ATE my reply! And my window of op had slammed shut. But he said maybe Sunday we could touch base. No more web page texts for me!

Now it's 3:15 and I have not even watched the bake off yet. I think I'll refill my water and get my bake on.

Biggie is still not fine. He's not eating. He's on my lap dozing and watching for birds. On the up side, we slept very late because he wasn't bugging me for breakfast. The vet is coming at 2:45. I am sure he/she will not be able to do a thing or shed much light without xrays or ultrasound. And, based on past experience, he will heal on his own probably by tomorrow. But, unless he pops out of it between now and 2:45, I'm not going to cancel.

I will say that it's very liberating not to have to worry about cleaning the carpet!

I spent some quality time with finances this morning. Making sure there is enough on hand to cover all my extravagances. And planning for what's coming up. I remember when carving out savings from my paycheck was sooooo hard to do but boy, am I glad now that I did!!

We got the weekly update from the project manager for the condo roof fixing project and it looks like it's going to be next summer before it is all fixed. That's going to make selling this place all the more tough. But, as the stupid pillow saying goes... it is what it is.

Oh fuck a duck, I just got a note from my internet provider that I am over my data allotment. I asked to reduce the speed not the fucking allotment. I would like to keep this internet company for 17 more days but it appears those are not going to be easy days.

I did call Xfinity and learned that set up will be a matter of their setting me up an account and turning on the 'juice' at their end since I have the modem and routers. Their data allotment is more than a terabyte so no sweat there. The woman I talked to was very 'xfnity' she kept wanting to know about how I used the internet and I wanted to know speed numbers. Finally, I got a price of about $45 a month out of her for 1000 megabytes per second. I think I need about 100 so I expect to be paying less. I was running out of patience with her so we didn't talk price lock or terms. I'll probably hold off on that til I get moved in and am ready to connect.

Today is the usual. Label more stuff and tidy up the mess as much as possible. And hope Biggie recovers today instead of tomorrow.
susandennis: (Default)
All the quotes are in...

I had guessed that the move itself and all it entails was going to cost me about $20k. I was wrong. $31,762.

$9,910 to paint the new apartment
$3,564 carpet for the new apartment
$3,585 to paint this condo
$7,067 carpet for this condo

Note, the new apartment was 5 different colors of paint. And it's 726 sq feet. The condo is just under 1,300 sq. feet.

$3,864 to plan and coordinate and execute the entire move
$2,693 to move my stuff and take the rest to Goodwill

$31,762 - holy crapoly.

And we still have furniture to buy. We'd better make a flat out killing selling this place!!

And, just like that, my brother's inheritance - as a friend of mine in the south used to say - "like a pecka in winter"

I just got the word. "Closing" aka when I pay up all the bucks, get the key and a print out of all the rules is 11 am on Thursday, October 26. Cool. So Cool. Pam says they are sending me a "closing binder".

And, in other big news, Julio used the Litter Robot to poop!!! Rocket Man!

Screenshot 2023-10-13 10.31.21 AM

Biggie is still not good. I think he's got a hairball that won't come up. Dr. Google says it could be a couple of days. Poor guy. I went ahead and booked a visit by the mobile vet for tomorrow at 2:45. Hopefully by then, he'll be fine and I can cancel.

I thought about taking him to his regular vet but, I'm going to have to change vets anyway, might as well skip the carrier/car trip which he hates.

Another night of great but short sleep. I woke up at 4. It's ok. In 18 days, I can start all new habits so I'm not at all worried about the ridiculous ones developing now.

I am a little, very little really, worried about Biggie. He threw up a little bit twice this morning - kind of an unballed hairball. But also ate like normal before and after. He did not finish his treats (in the snack holder) which is very not Biggie. But, it's too soon to worry much. At least the vet is now open Saturdays if I need them.

Julio, meanwhile, thinks the litter robot is a playground. He's in and out constantly. But neither of them has used it as a litter box even one time. Their old litter box is nearby and now very low on litter and not very clean. I put a little of the stinky old litter into the robot. I'm hoping they get the hint.

I'm still waiting on the estimate for painting this place. Bret the realtor may be handling that on his own. Doesn't really matter either way to me. But, I think, now, outside of that, I have all the other estimates/invoices in hand.

Nothing on the schedule today. I could use some food but I'm not really inspired to go shopping. I might go over to Uwajimaya and score some poke and a salad to tide me over. I was going to go to Costco and get some coffee but I checked Amazon and their price is better right now so they win.

It's going to be interesting to see how life shakes out in Issaquah. Right now, it's a PIA to go places. My parking space isn't handy and then downtown traffic and getting around to places that have good parking. PLUS Amazon drops shit at my door.

In Issaquah, my parking space will be VERY handy and there is tons of easy to get to shopping with very easy parking. And Amazon drops shit at the front desk which is a very long walk from my apartment.

I think my shopping habits are going to change considerably. I'm worried about Amazon stock but I don't own any right now so I'm not that worried.

I stopped in the Target that is very close to Timber Ridge yesterday and it's a lovely store and I got fabulous service. I haven't been in a decent Target in years. It was delightful.

It just occurred to me that my view will still be obscured by The Tree That I Hate when I move. I can see the sun coming up between the leaves. I will NOT miss that damn tree.
