A great Score

The following is from my baby (49 years old) brother who lives in Jacksonville, FL. My Mom (79 year old) lives in Charleston, SC.



OK.. so we're going up for Mom's day. Mom said, on your way up could you
stop at that mall and get me some bras? Sure, I says... what mall? what
bras? etc etc.. Well, it's near Savannah and I'm not sure who makes it,
Hanes, I think. Here's the style number: 4991.

Whew.. Ok.. on the internet..

After a while, figured out that 4991 was a Playtex cross your heart.

Wrote Playtex: "My poor old mother needs.... ." You know the rest.
Mother's Day coming... would be really nice if I could find.. .etc.

Got an email from Playtex Corporate that they were thinking.

Got a call a couple of weeks ago.... discontinued product line but, what is
her size? I'll see what I can do. I have too much info for my tastes, but
told them: 36B.

Gave up on the whole thing. Looking for Monther's day present today when I
get a call back from Heather at Playtex.

She found three. The last ones on the planet.

Can I pay you to Fedex them to Charleston?

Nope. They're samples and she'll do it for free sending the three white (!)
ones along with one of their style successor. Gratis. No shipping, no
cost.

I'm having them sent to me at Mom's and we'll wrap them when we get
there.

I'm thinking major score here!

Fortunately I have the email and Heather's name. Just need to figure out
how to maximize the appreciation.



My brother is kind hearted and means well but often misses the mark by so much. This is just such a wonderful and hilarious victory for him. I'm so proud and Mom will get as big a kick out of the story as she will out of the bras.
