Fame

In the past couple of weeks I've gotten a fair number of emails from people who have been to my website and found my section on Toilet Training cats. I usually get one or two of these a month but this has been like 10 a week.

It was getting a little curious. Today, I finally cracked the code. Several nice folks left entries in the guest book saying they had seen about the website on TV and I was able to actually find one of the links. It's obviously a syndicated piece that, due to slow news days, got air time around the county. It's very strange to read a news story about yourself when you had no idea it was in creation. I've been interviewed before but this time, I had no idea.

Plus, the whole toilet training thing is so kind of not interesting to me any more. I leave the pages there because they get an enormous amount of traffic. I started a mailing list which continues to this day - with more than 300 people on it. I finally found someone to take the maintenance of it off my hands and I no longer even monitor the entries but they need my web page as an anchor.

Neither of my cats use the toilet now and I don't plan to try to talk them into it so my being touted on these TV websites as an expert feels a little disingenuous. So I guess it's good the woman who did the story didn't contact me because I would have said 'no thank you...' for sure.
