Train magnet
Nov. 7th, 2003 08:55 amIt just never fails. When I'm on my walks and I get near a train track, I get a train. It's a gift, I guess. At least this morning's was a short commuter train and not one of those that's hauling all of the goods from the entire state of Alaska and all the provinces of Canada down to California. Those suckers can go on for days.
Now, when was the last time you came across the perfect example of irony? Are you ready? The guy who 'shared' my email last week... announced yesterday that he's leaving the company! My stupidity was not his fault. The guy has zero social skills at all. He's got skills but they are all about 1's and 0's. I was thinking that every time I saw him I would remember what a stupid thing I did but now I don't have to see him. Wild.
I'm waiting from Sherry, my neighbor, to call me for car battery jumping. She's not the fastest mover in the morning and I'm not in a huge hurry. We kind of talked about 9ish. Then I think I'll drive the sucker down to Sears automotive (not far from here) and see what they say.
Then it's over to work. My latest swag (neon colored rulers with calculators - measure your savings when you use our service... get it? ohhhh so clever) is coming in today. I need to go get one and then haul it around looking for packaging... However, I think I know just the thing I want and where to get it and a Plan B if the first thing doesn't pan out.
Then to Costco. I do not 'do' Costco for the last six weeks of the year. It's just too nuts to even think about getting in and out of there prior to Christmas. So today is my big - Last Trip to Costco for 2003.
This weekend I need to pick up some of the shit around here. And someone needs to go through these stacks of paper around this desk and either file it all or toss it all or some variation in between. Maybe that's a nice pre- new monitor project. Tidy up the 'office'.
