It just never fails. When I'm on my walks and I get near a train track, I get a train. It's a gift, I guess. At least this morning's was a short commuter train and not one of those that's hauling all of the goods from the entire state of Alaska and all the provinces of Canada down to California. Those suckers can go on for days.

Now, when was the last time you came across the perfect example of irony? Are you ready? The guy who 'shared' my email last week... announced yesterday that he's leaving the company! My stupidity was not his fault. The guy has zero social skills at all. He's got skills but they are all about 1's and 0's. I was thinking that every time I saw him I would remember what a stupid thing I did but now I don't have to see him. Wild.

I'm waiting from Sherry, my neighbor, to call me for car battery jumping. She's not the fastest mover in the morning and I'm not in a huge hurry. We kind of talked about 9ish. Then I think I'll drive the sucker down to Sears automotive (not far from here) and see what they say.

Then it's over to work. My latest swag (neon colored rulers with calculators - measure your savings when you use our service... get it? ohhhh so clever) is coming in today. I need to go get one and then haul it around looking for packaging... However, I think I know just the thing I want and where to get it and a Plan B if the first thing doesn't pan out.

Then to Costco. I do not 'do' Costco for the last six weeks of the year. It's just too nuts to even think about getting in and out of there prior to Christmas. So today is my big - Last Trip to Costco for 2003.

This weekend I need to pick up some of the shit around here. And someone needs to go through these stacks of paper around this desk and either file it all or toss it all or some variation in between. Maybe that's a nice pre- new monitor project. Tidy up the 'office'.

Good Day

Some days suck but this one sure does not.

My friend, Sherry (who prides herself on being the least handy lesbian on the planet) met me at the car and turned out to have more jumping skills than she realized. We got my car going immediately. And I was off. I rode around for about 30 minutes kind of looking for Sears and not finding it and then I realized I'd probably already charged it pretty sufficiently.

I went by work and got the swag sample and then found the packaging store on the first try. They had the perfect boxes and stickers. Bought them and went on to Costco. The cats have food. I have food. And we all have toilet paper to take us into 2004.

The ruler/calculators turned out to be really really nice. My boss is going to be delighted.

And now I am home. I think I'm going to find something for lunch and then maybe chill in front of a TV program for a bit and then get going with some house clean up.

New phone photos today...

It's not unusual for me to have to shoo one of the cats out of my chair, but tonight I went to sit and found a full house.
