This and That

My friend, Fran, left a comment to one of my entries suggesting that I take a bus to my new gig at Microsoft. And she even gave me the bus number. I don't know it had not occur to me to look into that but it hadn't. I looked up the bus number and it leaves from somewhere close to here and, it appears, to dump me just in front of the building I'll be working in!

This morning's walk was a recon mission. Find the actual bus stop. The stop I thought it was it isn't. (Do not even try and diagram that sentence - won't fly). The one farther down was a no as well. So, I figured I'd check the website again when I got home and figure it out and went on walking. Being downtown, there are about a dozen different bus stops within 3 blocks of my house. So finding the right one is often pretty tricky.

But, I actually stumbled on the right stop along my walk! Turns out it is between home and the Japanese grocery - very very close! This is going to be good - so good that I might just leave the car where it is. Then I started to think maybe the first day, I'll drive. Will not do to get onto the bus and go to somewhere far away...

Since I still have a week to screw with, I might just take a trial run. I could ride out there to make sure and take my walk and ride home. Might just do it.

The Mariners lost their game yesterday. Today they just finished the 1st inning and are now losing 7-0. When they have a Spring Training season that sucks, I just pretend it's like 'bad dress rehearsal/great opening night.'

While the game is on, I'm going to tidy up the house. Wasn't it just last weekend that I cleaned it for pretend company? Who's making this mess???

Then I have some more clothes to weed through - keep or give to Goodwill... Then I have some stuff in the car that needs to get up here - the non perishables from the grocery last week. Then I can take the rest of the day off.
