I suffer so we all suffer

I can't tell if this is going to be a horrible cold or just an annoying cold.  Not yet.  I'm at the stage where you feel like crap but with no obvious outward signs.  My nose isn't running yet, my voice is only a little lower, my cough is slight.  Is this the worst day or just the beginning of a two week-er?  Fair warning, it's a two week-er, there's going to be a lot of bitching, moaning, whining and carrying on in this journal.  I'm not one to suffer silently.

My manager (as well as half the bus crowd and a lot of others here at work) has gone on vacation.  He left me a long list of things to do.  However, as I went down the list this morning, I discovered that I can't do that one until the approvals come through, I can't do the next one because the owner hasn't sent me the docs yet, I can't do the one after that because I don't have permissions to that file share. The one after that has to wait the guy tells me he's ready.  Can't finish that one until she said 'ok'.  Etc.

But, it is a good list. There are some things I can do now. And as others come available, I can work them in.  Beats the heck out of nothing-to-do boredom. 

Library stop on the way home tonight.  The thrills never stop here.  Seriously.
