It is so hot
Aug. 1st, 2004 12:36 pmIt really isn't as hot - temperature wise - has it has been recently but it feels way hotter. My right foot and ankle are about twice the size of my left and are very glad they do not have to be crammed into shoes or even sandals today. Ugh.
But, the laundry is done and the kitchen is cleaned up enough and I am done with chores.
My brother and wife got a call at 1:30 a.m. that Mom wanted them at the hospital. This was really really strange since the Mom I know would not have bothered anyone at that hour even if she had a signed notarized memo from God that she wasn't going to see the next morning. She thought she was having a heart attack. She had pains on the left side of the chest under her breast. The cardiologist couldn't find anything and no one else could either. She was clearly uncomfortable, apparently and they gave her something for anxiety. My brother and wife stayed until she went back to sleep. Very strange indeed and just not like her at all.
He sent an email that they were going to stop by the hospital on their way back home. They have not had time to get there yet so I haven't heard about the visit. The plan is for my sister-in-law to come back when Mom gets out of the hospital and just stay with her. I am not wild about my sister-in-law. I don't even really know her so that's not really fair. But, I do know is that she loves my mother as if she were her own and would do anything in the world for her - including give up her life and move in with her and stay as long as Mom needs her. We are so lucky that he picked good this time.
So between Trey (she's wife #3) and Polly, Mom is in better hands than any I could provide.
The Ballgame starts in a bit - I've got some Nip/Tucks and some 6 Feet Unders. If you missed me yesterday, you have another chance today...
