For that matter, I'm not entirely sure where this whole freakin' week went.

I came home tonight to a message on the answering machine from a guy who was looking for one of my ex-step sons - particularly the one who got out of jail in time to serve one term with the Army. When he went to re-up, they said 'no thank you...' This was in the 80's. I wanted nothing to do with him and his bail requirements then. The guy on the phone sounded like he could be doing anything from trying to collect money (I'm guess in this kid's case we're talking a blood/stone situation here) from looking to recapture the idiot. Since I got this phone number some 10 years AFTER I last even knew where he was, I think it's interesting that they are using it to try and find him.

On the Mom front, she's officially failed her 'living on her own' final exam. She apparently put up zero resistance and told Dana that she and the head nurse 'agreed it was the best thing'. They can't make a room ready until Monday so poor Trey is stuck there until Monday. My sister and her brood arrive the next Saturday so they can handle whatever Mom needs transition wise.

They are semi-selling this deal as 'let us take care of you until you can move back into your apartment on your own.' I doubt they are kidding anybody. We all, probably Mom included, know she's at the end of her 'living on her own' rope. It's ok. All good things, etc.

The last voicemail I got from the social worker there was that they were already looking at how and how soon they could move her computer. She'll probably have to wait until I can get out there for Tivo.

Work was just, flat busy - good and busy. The Mariners already lost their game du jour today so I have the evening off.
