This morning I woke up to clouds and cool - heaven. I read the paper and had my coffee and talked to Mom and it was still cloudy and cool so I thought... Hmm wonder if it's cool enough for a walk? I think we'll just give it a go....

We did and it was. And about 4 minutes after we got home, the sun came out. Hopefully, it won't last and it will stay cool but if it doesn't, I can crank up the air conditioning and be grateful that I was able to sneak in my cloudy walk. Got pix, too! (but, alas, the service I use is still experiencing delays... Hope they get that fixed soon...)

My sister finally leaves Mom's today. One of her children broke a jar of barbecue sauce on the carpet in the hallway in front of Mom's apartment. She couldn't get the stain out but, as she told my sister-in-law "I'm sure they will understand." Oh yeah. I hope she gives us another two years of peace.

Mom seems ok. She's got tremors from some of the medicine they either aren't giving her any more or new stuff they are giving her. She can't read what she writes so she can't make lists to what she wants to remember. This is really not good. I don't think she even mentioned going back to her apartment today.

I am so bad on the telephone. I hate telephone chatting with a passion because, I think, I so suck at it. After we chat about the ballgame, we're really out of stuff to talk about. I need to come up with one or two more simple topics to cover... Mom was so desperate today she even asked about the cats. She has never ever ever had any interest in any animals of any kind. But, it's clear that the morning phone call is now required so I need to put on my thinking cap.
