Yes, I voted. Thank you now get off my back, please??!!! In Washington state you can sign up to get absentee ballots by default. My precinct used to be in this very cool Chinese nursing home and then they moved it to a place I never did find so I signed up for absentee ballots. That was about 10 years ago. I voted last week. I'm done, thank you.

It does look, however, to me from just the stock market alone that the Republicans have got it all the way. I am not pleased at all. I will not make enough on the rebounding stocks to get any joy out of that and I sure don't want to have four more years. Maybe my answer is to marry a Canadian.

To me, the only thing better than Halloween candy is left over Halloween candy. I expect to score a nice mini Milky Way on Halloween. But today everyone at work has brought in their leftovers and it's a delightful surprise!

Mom has given up on her computer. I think it's a combination of new system (dialing in), not having it always on, and the way my brother set it all up and explained it to her. But mostly I think it's a matter of her losing some major marbles during this last health escapade. There's a chance of recovery but I'm not hopeful. She says she wants to wait until I get there to even try again.

But, wait! As I was typing that, it just dawned on me that I learned yesterday her phone has now been transferred to Bell South... The 'home' was on its own phone system for years. The system sucked in many ways - not the least of which was that DSL was not even a remote possibility.

They have been working replacing the POS phone system with Bell South now for about six months and, I learned yesterday, the transfer is complete. So today, just in the middle of this entry, I hopped over to Bell South and plugged in Mom's number where it says DSL eligibility and BINGO!!! It says she's good to go!

This could solve all the problems.... I have a note into my bro. I'm pretty sure he has Bell South DSL. I want to find out the pot holes before I pick up the phone and give 'em a call. Whohoo!

It is pouring down rain here and has been for two days. I finally broke down and ordered Crocs sans holes. Their no-hole style only comes in five really-not-very-interesting colors. I went with emerald. Until they get here, I just take my socks off before I go outside. Luckily my feet do not dissolve in water.
