I just stumbled on Google Video... I'm not even sure I understand it but as usual and as Google, it's tres cool...

I did FINALLY get a note from Woot (the company, [livejournal.com profile] tbone :). The note said they were behind in their emails - duh! And they are pretty sure it was shipped on Friday. And they don't know why it doesn't show up in FedEx. And if I refused the package, they will refund my money.

How many ways am I so not impressed?????

I've been swapping emails and phone calls all morning with Mom's accountant, the woman who pays her bills and the broker guy. They are all very nice and very patient with me even though I'm sure they would love it if I got hit by a truck and left them alone. I do think everything is in order for her tax return which is the current assignment.

And work is kind of a little pile of irritants today. Probably it's me so I'm just choosing not to pay attention.

I did hear from the massage woman I sent email to originally. 6:45 tonight. I canceled 3:30 on Wednesday. I remembered that I have a meeting on Wednesday that will probably make me too late for that appointment. And, I'd really like for this pain in my neck to feel better sooner than later. The appointment tonight is 2 blocks up the street right next to Elliot Bay Book Company. Must be an apartment should be interested to get to see inside...

Ok, I need to get back to my little pile of irritants. Later...

It is no longer pitch black when I get to work. It's dark but you can see that it's the tail end of dark. And it's not at all dark when I get home.

In fact it is way daylight and stays that way for a while after I get home and this is the hard to get used to.

The kitchen with no mugs is bare. The shelves with nothing on them are bare (and filthy). The rugs are folded up so now you can see all the hidden stains as well as the stains that I never could hide. When it's dark outside, I can mute the light inside. When it's daylight outside - especially on a sunny day like today - every wart shows.

But the upside of the day light after work is the bus ride. I've been working on some socks which is easy travel knitting so instead of having my head in a book or in a game on Treo, I've been knitting while riding. And since I don't need to look at the knitting, I can look out the window.

Today, waiting for the bus, I could see the snow capped mountains very clearly and they are really beautiful espically there perched behind the green landscape. Then on the bus I saw big and small sail boats out in the middle of the lake and some fishing boats and we pass by one of the floating homes (ala Sleepless in Seattle) neighborhoods which are really just eat up with cute and the yacht club. Then on into town there's another lake that has an airport at one end for floating planes. I saw two today - one take off and one land.

Not too shabby a ride for $2.00!
