Ahhhhh

I woke up this morning and opened my eyes and even in the still nearly dark, I could see that I was in a special place. A place that had beautiful colors being cooled by the most wonderful ceiling fan in the world and served on a platter of very rich carpet. I got the most intense feeling of 'how cool is it that I get to live here??!!!' feeling.

When I first moved in here, I used to have that feeling every time I opened up the front door. For the past few years, I've still loved the place but have only been able to see the disgusting carpet and the boring walls and the junk.

Now I can see what it will be. I'm not sure I really realized what this project was going to turn into. And that's probably good because I'm not sure I would have had enough nerve to start if I had known. But, now I know it was so the right thing to do and it is going to be just amazingly spectacular.

Today's agenda includes:

Terrace - make it look less like a disaster aftermath
Full Bath - clean floor and the tub
Living room - organize the furniture
Take pictures - update website
Beat Boston again

But, first... breakfast. I have not been able to enjoy toast in forever. I am going to have toast. Life is excellent.

My chores are mostly done

I have finished my list. I even vacuumed up the styrafoam snow and litter and dirt on the terrace. I did not do the bathroom floor. I figured I needed to save something for tomorrow.

It looks nice and organized.

Betty has commandeered the under bed. She's never had an under bed. Neither has Jake for that matter. My beds have all been waterbeds or platform beds with drawers - no under bed.

She's also very fond of the ottoman's. I have this big lint sponge that I've had forever and it turns out that it is perfect for collecting Betty leftovers from the new furniture. Jake doesn't ever leave much but I suspect it will work on his, too.

And...I updated the makeover pages with new pix! Hurry on over. I'm going to make that banana and peanut butter sandwich right now.
