Happy Saturday and The Mom Report
Jun. 11th, 2005 07:50 amOoops. The people setting up the cones to organize the parking in the stadium parking lot just got a surprise... The first of a week of high school graduations is schedule for there this afternoon. These are massive affairs and kind of fun to watch and very colorful. The parking lot people were making great progress until just a few minutes ago when the bottom fell out. They are now every soggy. The stadium has no roof. I'm sure it will dry up before this afternoon but if not... ugh.
This reminds me. I need to make a grocery run. I think I'd better do it this morning and get back before the Moms/Dads/Grads hit the 'hood.

Mom is getting more clear every day. Today she asked about selling her car (which we did last week) and where the money was and what she was going to do with it (give it to my brother and sister - she gave me $5,000 a month ago. She wanted to 'buy' my new carpet which I thought was so sweet.).
I got a note from Polly that Mom was having bouts of cranky brought on by frustration with her situation. Mom, apparently, snapped at one of her sitters the other day and Theresa had to counsel the sitter not to take it personally. She really likes the one that's on duty this weekend. When Mom and I finished chatting this morning, she made me say hi to the sitter.

Turns out I made amazing progress with the unpacking and the desk/office set up last night. I've still got lots to do but now I have a plan - pens/pencils go here, notebooks go here, etc. I think by Sunday night, this house will be very close to under control. That's what I'm shooting for.
