The bits du jour
Nov. 11th, 2005 11:14 amI took a little walk this morning with my camera. Just down the waterfront to the aquarium and back. It rained and didn't rain and rained heavily and stopped. But it was still a nice walk.
Came home to an email from the boss with a minor chore which I did. Futzed a bit. Had a shower and washed my hair. And here I are.
I have a stack of papers to file - not a big stack. And a stack of stuff to put away - not a big stack. But both are big enough to avoid doing. At least until this entry is finished.
Jake is back in front of the monitor. Betty is back nestled in her favorite spot - on the window seat bed snuggled up against Alf and my old teddy bear, James. I'm dying to get a picture of her with them (the trio is very color coordinated) but the minute I get back there with the camera she hops up to play. I need to work on my stealth techniques.
I think I found an ergonomist that will come to my house and fix my furniture and me.
My sister keeps sending stuff to Mom in email that she can't possibly deal with - giant photographs (that are not at all good enough to really tell what they are pictures of) and documents that Mom does not know how to open. Mom feels like she should be grateful to get any email from my sister at all. And my sister is of the I-don't-know-nuthi'-bout-birthin'-no-babies school of computing and believes her obligations to her mother are fulfilled when she hits send.
I don't have many regrets in my life but one I do have is that none of all the energy I have expended over the years in evil and mean thoughts and wishes for my sister has ever resulted in causing her the tiniest amount of even inconvenience. I'm sure she'll get hers one day but how fucking long to I have to wait???
