I'm thinking I may be in over my head. Work wise, I mean. I just discovered that one project due for completion on Wednesday still has about 4 days of work to do and it's not the only project on my plate between now and then. ARUGH. I really am going to have to acquire some work management skills and learn, maybe, to say no thank you.

I got about half of today's project done and decided it was enough and I was due some down time.

I was going to take a little break and watch a little TV today but about the time I got started my neighbor called from downstairs all steamed about some party last night that kept them up till 4 a.m. plus she wants to try a new restaurant up the street tonight so I said fine.

Then Mom called and about the time we got into it, the aid came to change some dressing on something so she said she'd call me back.

While I was waiting for her to call me back, I decided to organize the thing that's due Wednesday and that's when I discovered the huge job disaster.

Then Mom called me back and we kind of chatted. It was kind of a strange conversation but then she got into some mumbo jumbo that made no sense talking about calling me back until finally it dawned on me.... "Are you talking in code so the sitter won't know what you are saying?" "YES!!!!" She nearly came through the phone. Ohhhhkay... I told her I was going to be here until Lee and I went to dinner so to call me back when she got alone and she said she would. No clue what that is about.

My Roomba is dead again. This replacement they sent me last time it died was never as good as my original one. I'll call tomorrow and get them to send me a new one. Again.

We have no snow. Zero. Not a flake. Hell, we don't even have rain.

My neighbor, Lee, came up this afternoon with a complaint letter she needed help on. I helped and she was really grateful. Then we decided to go out to dinner. Her girlfriend is in Palm Beach and I figured I deserved a break from the work so we went. I wanted to go to Shanghai Gardens - my favorite Chinese place but she said she'd found a new Asian place so we went there.

It's about 8 blocks up and when we got there the sign said it was a Vietnamese restaurant. I do not like Vietnamese food. It all tastes like cilantro and I can taste it for days and days. But, she said it was great so what it heck. And boy was she right. It was delicious and beautifully served. The dishes were fabulous and the tables beautiful and the food was wonderful and no cilantro at all. We had an appetizers and two entres and shared a desert and the bill was $27 with tip - total. Very cool.

Now I'm going to watch a very little TV and then go read my book and get to sleep early so I can get up tomorrow and do 2 days' work in one.

p.s. Our weather people are talking possible snow next weekend. I think they are feeling a little cheated. I'm not holding my breath that there will be even one flake (beyond the weather people themselves), however.
