As the days grow shorter, my mornings get better and better. My condo faces slap east. In the Summer, the sun starts to fry the place before 6 a.m. I have to remember to pull the blinds the night before and turn on the A/C before I even pee. Generally by about 10:30, I start to get some relief but by then I have burn scars - at least emotionally :(.

The sun has been sleeping in the past couple of days and not turning on the heat jets until about 7. But today, it's behind the clouds and the morning is cool and wonderful. Tomorrow it's supposed to rain but I'll be gone most of the day so it's kind of a waste. Maybe it will hold off a day.

I actually have pages to code today! woohoo! And no meetings. I had a 3 hour phone meeting that just got canceled. Nice.

There's a little neighborhood park that has been refurbed this summer and if it stays cloudy, I may wander over later and check out the opening day ceremonies. And a local gallery near there has a new exhibit featuring some knitted superhero costumes... I may wander over and check them out.

My background music is squealing tires.

They are testing cars out in the parking lot again today but this time it's cute little sports cars. I tried to youtube a little bit to add here but youtube is really not wanting to play nicely today and the video isn't worth the effort. So... I guess I'll get to work!

I never question my involvement with Live Journal. I enjoy the heck out of creating my own journal and reading others. And I'm often tickled by surprise treats that happen because of my involvement. Today I got two!

First, [livejournal.com profile] pinkfish's entry today is all about making me famous!! I should think about changing my name to Fanny Festuche...

And then I got this great note from an entry I made in May about googling an old friend. A guy wrote that he googled my friend, Susan Hoinville, too and found me looking for her. He's an old boyfriend who's name sounds familiar. Based on his note, it sounds like they parted ways just before I met her. The funniest part of this is that today I plugged "susan hoinville" into Google again and THE only hit I got was a picture from her college graduating class! Weird.

Busy work day which is a lovely change. Dinner time here.
