I could not get to sleep last night.  I finally did about 1:30.  About 3, I woke up to Jake getting ready to throw up on my newly cleaned duvet cover (saved) and then at 4 I heard the coffee pot start (?! somehow I had managed to fuck up that timer) and then at 6, the alarm which usually doesn't wake me up much  had me wide awake.

I don't think today's going to be crammed - work wise- so if I need to shut my eyes I can and I can certainly go to bed early tonight.  No harm, no fowl (sic) -  just curious.

I'm sure it's the job thing but I'm not sure why.  Yes, it would be handy to not have to change the way we do things so abruptly but it's really not that major an impact on me, I don't think.  Plus, my boss is going to be so dependent on me that I can probably wangle and finagle any favors I need like please don't make me to go to Redmond and meet with people.

So there is nothing to get stressed over.

When I woke up this morning, I discovered - no surprise here - that my anti-virus program is right on schedule.  A reboot every 48 hours.  I sent another note off asking what to do now.  This last time I completely uninstalled it and reinstalled it so no telling what their trick will be this time.  It's hardly even annoying any more.  It just means I can't start any long playing games on this computer and that is not fun but not fatal.

Good news on the banking front.  CapitalOne charged me for stopping payment on that check (or for funds chargeback).  $25.  Yesterday I sent them an email asking them to remove the charge.  Today they did.  I had deposited the replacement check into my credit union account and sent them over electronically and today they are showing there, safe and sound.  All's well, that end's...

I have a work conference call at 10 and some work stuff to do before then.  Better get to it.

The boat show ended on Saturday.  The RV show, apparently, starts this week.  My parking lot has a split personality today ... and fog.

Well, my day has been a random series of emails about work stuff.  I'm kind of doing a whackamole thing but so far, I'm on top.

I have not heard from the anti-virus people which is odd. Usually they send an email within an hour. Of course, none of their instructions are working so maybe this time they are thinking about it before they send.  I did get the auto reply so I know they got the diagnostic logs.

I sent my brother a note asking if he had ever seen this behavior since they install AVG all the time on customer computers.  I haven't heard from him either which his strange cause I didn't hear from this weekend either and he's been pretty good about Saturday updates. Hmmmm

I know my email's working cause I have gotten some stuff so it must be them. Oh well.

Those Oscar Meyer Fast Franks make the best lunch.  Easy, fast, tasty and tidy.  I'm not sure you should really be asking more out of a lunch than that.

Then end for now.

Oh, and if you want to see some incredibly delicious Caribbean pix, mix yourself a tropical drink and then come back to the computer and go to [livejournal.com profile] ruralrob's LJ.  It's an eye treat - you can just about hear the waves and smell the salt air.
