Cool... marvelously cool... and no sun to fry the gym.

15 on the treadmill and 15 on the rowing machine.

And it was crowded!   All the regulars were there plus some I don't usually see on weekends.  Kind of fun to have all that action.

I had the camera with me because I wanted to get pictures of the destruction across the street.  (Next entry.)  When I walked into the gym, Nathan was curious so I showed him the camera and snapped his picture.  He made me take another one cause 'you didn't wait until I smiled!'  He's such a treat.

Star for me and to the shower!!

So the dev guy, last night, fixed a mountain range full of stuff.  Some of it would have taken me days to figure out and some of it I never would have and he fixed it all.  The last email from him came in at 1:20 a.m. this morning.   I am so grateful to him.

Shannon, The Best Proofer In The World, sent the goods for the first set of pages last night so I can get those added in today.  She'll have the others done by Monday, I'm sure.  And... so... because the client moved the launch date out... several days ahead of schedule at this point!  Whew.  This week will be a bazillion emails reporting nits out the ying yang - is my guess.  So life won't be normal again until probably Friday but at least I can see the end of the tunnel.

And... today... unless something happens which I don't anticipate, I am going out.  Shopping.  Target and grocery.  I am.   The ballgame starts at 11.  I'll work through the end of the game and then I'm taking a giant retail therapy break.  Yep.

Starbucks bought block across the street for extra office space.  They are saving the adorable triangle building at one end and the 8th floor office building (where I once worked, where my beloved deli is and where the gym is) on the other end.  They are demolishing everything in between to make room for new.

For several days now giant machines have been chewing and pounding at the concrete. It's been loud and messy and the drawn the biggest crowd of gawkers.  Men and boys alike - I've seen them stand there mesmerized.  It's kind of cute.

They can't destroy on weekends so all is quiet over there and I took my camera.

That little bit sticking out that they haven't chomped yet? That's where the old gym was. This next picture, I love. It is of the exact same rubble as the one above but through a different angle. The last tenant of that part of the building was a sports physical therapy place. They moved out a while ago.

Ok, time to get to work and to beat the White Sox!

I worked and the Mariners won (big) and then I went to Target.  I guess they aim on Friday for Saturday shoppers and don't really care about those of us who come on Sunday.  There was major restocking that was needed.  It was very unTarget like.  But, I found enough stuff to keep me happy.

Then on to the grocery store where I laid in apples and Stauffer's.  Those are my staples lately.

There was a business card on the bulletin board in the garage for a house cleaner and it had an email address.  The card was from Jamie Santaella.  We swapped a couple of emails.  She charges $250 for a full cleaning and $150 for biweekly or weekly. Yiikes.  But, ok.  I asked if she provided her own cleaning supplies, etc.  And I assumed she understood that parking can be a problem.  Nothing prejudice about me.   Turns out she is a Hispanic male!  He called and we chatted.  He wants - in addition to the $250 or $150 - me to provide all cleaning supplies and equipment and pay for parking.

I thanked him but said that was really just more than I wanted to deal with.

I need to go move the wash to the dryer and start another load and then it's back to work.
