It was great until the end...

I did 15 minutes on the treadmill and 17 minutes on the rowing machine.  I was listening to my book and it was the end of the book and the book was by one of my favorite authors (Michael Connelly) but it sucked eggs (Overlook) and I was pissed that I hadn't just stopped mid-way when I knew it sucked.  When I got to the end of the book, I hit playlist and picked Abba and Waterloo started up and I got new energy.  At this point I had been 12 minutes on the rowing machine so I did the last 5 going uphill over rapids!!!

I might have done more but gym queen decided that while she could easily see all three TV's and I could easily see only 1, she still needed to change the channel on mine.  I thought about punching her lights out and then just decided to stop and go home.  She and I are going to have it out but not today.

It is raining out - lightly - and it felt so good walking home.

Star me baby and then turn that shower on!!

After Daddy died and Mom got her widows wings working, she was always annoyed by people who assumed she had nothing to do. People from church, or others would drop by or call and say 'I'm on my way!' and never ask her if she was busy or if it was a convenient time.  The reality, of course, was that their message was that they had busy, important lives and she did not - but that's not how she internalized the insult.  She said she always had so much to do but she really couldn't pinpoint exactly what.

Then Evelyn, her neighbor across the hall, said much the same thing one day but added 'You know, it just takes time to live!' and Mom glommed on to that until the day she died.  She was always declaring that she was busy because, 'You know, it just takes time to live!'

Having been robbed of serious 'live time' these past three weeks, I've wallowed in it these past three days.  Time to clean out closets.  Time to do laundry.  Time to go get Thai food for dinner and enjoy it.

I need to swap out one of the living room TiVo's for the one in the bedroom.  The current living room one feels like it's dying.  The bedroom one is one I picked up for $0 after rebate and got it for a backup and now it's time to put it into service.  In the past, this required a call to TiVo - to transfer service.   Calling TiVo is never fun.  The wait is long.  BUT this morning I had time so I called.  Put the phone on speaker and continued on with my living.  When I finally got the guy and told him what I wanted he told me how to do it online.  Sigh.  "We had to put this online because of all the snowbirds - they turn off their North TiVo in Winter and turn on the South one and vice versa come Fall."  Being a snowbird must be hard work.

Anyway, turns out I can do it myself but just not today.  I have to wait until the billing cycle is done.  Tomorrow or Tuesday.  As long as it gets done before the Fall preview season, that's fine.

Then I took one of the pillow shams off my favorite bed set and tailored it to fit my memory foam wedge that I lean up against or use for my laptop.  It was a bigger chore than I expected but the results are perfect.

The laundry is laundrying and the Mariners are not losing.

I have two new books loaded into my player.

I'm enjoying the heck out of my time to live.
