The plans du jour

First stretch class. I'm not really into it this morning. I'm not going because I want to, I'm going because it is the most attractive of my two gym options. If not stretch class then I'll need to go and really work. So I'm going to stretch instead of work. Yep. I'm lazy.

After class, I'm going back to Boka. This time I'm going to try their bloody mary. This is the ultimate test. The final exam of brunch places. I really hope they do well.

And I want to study their silverware. I don't think it is actual silver (surely not in a restaurant?) but whatever it is, it is elegant and I would love to have some for here. The fork felt elegant and rich in my hand and in my mouth. I was amazed at the difference and the delight. I've eaten with real silver and fine settings but this was really striking.

Then it will be back home for baseball and knitting. And maybe a movie.

I did find an interesting website yesterday. It's kind of a Netflix for non-Netflix. Plug in a person, TV show , movie, etc and it will find it on your TV schedule and/or Amazon rental/purchase. http://www.locatetv.com. I fiddled with it a little last night and may well use it more and more.

Gym Report - Stretch Class

Nice. Last week's crowd was back with a newbie. Particularly interesting since all of us, except the instructor are old folks. There is one guy in the class who is hilariously grouchy. I introduced him to the newbie this morning as Our Resident Grouch - tell him good morning and see. Sure enough he grouched back.

Turns out... he's the instructor's father!! And he is a delightful curmudgeon.

Also Very Big News - pink shirt lady wore a blue shirt!!! Call Brian Williams now!

Plus the gym (outside of the classroom) was pretty crowded - way more than Sunday morning usual.

I shall ponder it all on my walk up to brunch. Later, gaters.

We may well have a new Sunday Brunch Favorite Spot.

The bloody mary sailed through the exam and successfully went for extra credit.

The silverware may actually be silver. It is Mikasa. I am going to have to get a place setting or at least a few forks so I can pretend at home.

Today I had very good eggs benedict with absolutely perfectly poached eggs.
