[livejournal.com profile] machupicchu is on his way over here with Gone with the Wind - our Superbowl.

I've had a lovely Sunday. I was going to get up and get in a long walk or the gym and I did not. I got up and got breakfast and then fucked around with the webcam - I think I finally have it set up the way it works best.

Then I took a semi long - well really kind of long short walk... around a few blocks the very long way to the post office to mail the tax docs off. I know we're not done and he'll have a lot of questions and I'll have to pay a lot of money but I'm closer, now, to being done with it. I want it and the real estate tax bill paid and done and behind me so I can enjoy the rest of my year. The real estate bill isn't issued until February 15.

My new haircut is fine and dandy. I think I have a fine, new haircut home. Whew. This time, instead of paying $50 (inc. tip) for a $15 haircut I paid $27 (inc. tip) for a $30 haircut. MUCH better and I might even be a $40 hair cut. And it's easy to get to and pleasant. Whew. It's been a long time.

Tomorrow is my monthly flower arrangement delivery and last month's isn't dead yet! I did delay it a week but still 3 weeks with fresh flowers is impressive.

There are two services that deliver Twitter streams to Live Journal. One worked one time and now the URL is dead. The other didn't work at all. I reset the other. There is no way to test it but to wait. So I wait.

I am reading a novel. It's written in the first person and that person is describing how to get from downtown to his condo. The character lives in Seattle and best I can tell by his description, he either lives in my building or in a building in the next block. It's wild and a little freaky. (There aren't that many residential units in this neighborhood. Maybe 400-450 and a fourth of them are in this building. I'm at the beginning of the book so I'm not sure what's going to happen. I hope his home does not get bombed or something...

This is much like the last one - same color combo but I used them differently.

Gone with the Wind is really an amazing movie and amazingly long. I have no idea how old I was last time I saw it but I'd guess 12 or under which would make it 50 years. I've ready the book many times but not in in about 45 years. Not much has changed. It was fun.

Then Matthew and I went out to try The Seattle Pie Company. It's in a neighborhood not terribly close but there was no traffic out and the joint was nice and quiet. The place was lovely and the pie was delicious. It was a perfect way to top off Superbowl Sunday. I declared it a tradition. We have a year to come up with the pre-pie part of the day but the pie part is set.

I just turned the game on and who in the hell thought it was a good idea to have both teams wear yellow pants? It looks like bees scrambling around there.

Now I have to watch CBS Sunday Morning.
