A fine Sunday brunch

machupicchu met me at The Georgian Room for brunch this morning and it was excellent. My walk to there was more fun than usual because the weather was perfect. I caught it just before the sun came out. My John Phillips Sousa channel on Pandora had me moving! I need to remember to adjust my travel time to accommodate the faster walking.

Matthew got there after I had gotten settled in and a little of the newspaper read with coffee. Perfect. Their abbreviated menu (while they kitchen is undergoing rehab) includes a made to order omelet that I had not tried before. We both opted for that and omg do I order good omelet. Delicious.

Then Matthew wanted to go see where I get my cheese so we walked down to Pike Place Market and to DeLaurenti's which, apparently, he'd walked by often but never walked in to. I got some ham and a french goat cheese. Should make a couple of excellent meals.

We stopped by to check on Rachel - the large, brass, piggy bank that sits at the corner of the market. Last weekend she got hit by a taxi and is in the pig hospital. If you click on the picture here, you can see some of the fun comments. They range from sweet to ugh. That section of Pike Place Market is one of several undergoing construction - the place is kind of a mess. I hope it all gets put back together and soon with Rachael back on duty!

Then he went off to do Matthew things and I came home. All is good. and I'm going to watch CBS Sunday Morning now.
