I got out early. I've been lolling in bed playing with the computer and with Travis and even napping after I wake up and I'm starting to feel the loss of time. When I do this, by the time I get up and get going, it seems like half the day is already gone. Plus, soon work will pick up and I'll have to get out of bed to get to work - there are, I suspect, gaggle of 12+ hour days coming - no time for lollygaging.

So today, I limited my futzing time and got up and out of the house by 8 and it was good. Yesterday, it was cold and I wore my winter coat for the first time this winter and, honestly, I didn't need it. So today, I left it home and it was fine. When I move, I warm up. It was cold but I moved.

I had a lovely trot up to the Pike Place Market and landed in Seatown for brunch and it was even better than last time. I had an eggs benedict variation - smoked trout, capers and spinach. It was delicious. They make their own English muffins and they make the whole thing. Seatown is now, officially, at least one of my favorite go to spots for Sunday brunch.

After brunch, I walked through the market which was pretty abandoned - due probably to its being still early and really cold. On the way home I got a bunch of weather to chose from. It was cloudy and sunny and there were massive wind gusts and... snow! Not enough snow to really qualify as snowing but enough to kind of see it and definitely feel it on your face.

It was a good outing and now I am home and still have a giant portion of the day left! I'll first watch CBS Sunday Morning and then listen to the fist Mariner baseball game of 2011. I am not hopeful this year like I always have been in the past. I'm just going to try and enjoy the playing good or bad. If it's a great year, wonderful. If it's like all the rest (except for one or two) then I won't be disappointed.

It will be fun just to have baseball again and my favorite play by play guy - Ken Levine - is back this year to do some of the games so I am really looking forward to that. Wonder who's doing the honors today? Hmmmm

Yes, once again, Travis is not happy about the bear getting the attention instead of him... This may be the last bear before the monthly delivery.

Here are the rest of the February bears. The fun color set plus two oddballs. The chair is full. Last month, I only managed 2 chairs plus change. This month I've got 3 full chairs full. nice. I deliver on the 1st which is Tuesday. There might be one more but I also might cheat and use it for the March batch.

I paid $15 for a year of MLB At Bat which includes Spring Training games so I do not, this year, have to confine myself to the one sweet spot near the terrace window where I can get AM radio reception. We're only in the 3rd inning and already, I feel like I got my money's worth. I can put the game in my pocket and go fold laundry in the fish room (which does not even have FM radio reception)! Nice.

Also doesn't hurt that the Mariners are already winning.

The laundry is done and put away. The kitchen is clean and dinner has been decided - quiche and butter sauteed skinny green beans. The baseball game has been quite satisfying even with the Mariners losing (probably - it's San Diego 12, Mariners 10 in the 9th).

Did some phone clean up, some desktop computer clean up.

Fire in the fireplace. Travis currently chasing the red dot. Damn, he thought it had it!

I plan to TiVo the Oscars and kind of follow via Twitter. If Twitter and the other coverage reports something I need to see, I'll watch that part or parts but probably not. I really don't care and I've got more interesting stuff to watch.

If Travis wore a tie (which he does not, of course, since he lives in Seattle):

I'd love to know what you were trying to buy at Target for $283.72. Key Bank just called me to ask if it was ok with me for you to buy whatever it was and I had to say no. Sorry. The last time I was in New Hampshire, I don't think they even had Target stores so it was easy to say NFW to the nice Key Bank lady.

I totally forgot to ask how they figured out you weren't me. They apparently figured it out before the transaction was completed which is very cool.

Hope you one day get your own debit card so you can have a nice, legit shopping spree.

Love, me
