30 minutes with the more difficult elevation program and I tried 2.8 for speed. I had gotten up to 2.9, I think, before my falls but since then I've been babying my legs. 2.8 felt fine.

The apres 9 crowd had my regular peops all of whom it was good to see.

I was listening to a new book by a writer I've never heard of before and 15 of my 30 minutes were spent listening to a description of hot, iced cinnamon rolls - starting with the smell and ending with the swallow. It was a masterpiece of 15 minutes of writing. I should send the passage to Roger Ebert - he can't eat and really you don't need to to enjoy those particular cinnamon rolls. Yum!

It seems like every time I step outside my house these days, I am assaulted by someone on a bicycle. I totally get that riding your bicycle in the city makes you a way better person than anyone else but seriously, do you need to mow down a slow fat old woman?? Aren't you worried about your precious bike?

And, I can always tell by the Fuck You! they use as a greeting that if they do not hit me, they are at least not pleased with where I am and would like me to be more out of their way.

When I am in the car, they try to get in front of me and go as slowly as possible. It really makes me want to mow them down.

I know they are only being pissy because that seat is digging into their crotch. I get that, it would make me cranky, too. That's why I don't ride the things myself. And I'm not even going to say anything snarky about their stupid looking bike clothes are those helmets...

I always feel like paper in their rock, paper, scissors game.

---

There are hoards of worker bees in the parking lot outside my terrace setting up colorful spaces for the Hispanic soccer people coming over tomorrow afternoon. We had a similar game here several years ago. I remember it because it was on the night when [livejournal.com profile] pinkfish was coming into town. He could hardly get here from the airport. We went out to dinner and then after I dropped him at his hotel, I couldn't get home. That was Brazil and Columbia I think.

They are taking over more than half the parking lot with the booth set up. Looks like it will be quite the event.

---

I am thinking a movie tomorrow. Lincoln Lawyer is playing at a reasonable time at a theater that will enable me to get my walk in and get good food after easily. So I think I'll just get me some Matthew McConaughey.

The theater is near my conveyor belt sushi place so that's probably where I'll go after.

But, there is a deli I need to go back too as well. I think I might just do that tonight.

Tat's Deli used to be barely a hole in the wall down a kind of side street near here. It was working it's way up to dive lunch stand. But, the food was good. It was only open for lunch and only on weekdays. Then they moved up the block and around the corner to a much better street into a much bigger place and now stay open til 7 and are open for lunch. I tried them a couple of times after they moved and was just not feeling it. Although I was one of the few.

They have a fun Line Cam you can check on their website to see how long the line is. I grabbed this shot at noon today. You can see the line snaking out the door.

Some of this might be because of their appearance on a Food Network show last week. I watched it and the sandwich they made on the show was not one I have had before and I swear, had they been open after I finished watching, I would have grabbed my shoes and gone right down there.

But, I think tonight I'll go grab one of them for dinner. It's a Tat'strami. Yeah. I think that's going to be dinner tonight.

---

Sunday, I'll probably do my usual brunch somewhere and so far, Monday is a blank. They gym isn't even open so I need to plan somewhere to walk.

---

Now I need to get back to work.
