Lazy Sunday - randomings

Travis and I are still in bed just being lazy. I'm actually thinking about getting up. I don't know about him.

The Mariners beat the Yankees in extra innings. They beat them on Friday, too. I'm sure they won't today but, heck, 2 out of three and extra innings... happy baseball camper makes.

I have a bit of a plan today - bus, walk, brunch, two shopping errands and the bank and then home again. But brunch doesn't open til 10 and the shoppings don't open until 11. Hence, the lazy.

A bus load of people going home from yesterday's soccer game here got in an accident and two of the revelers were killed. Somehow knowing they left here made it a little sadder for me. But, their team didn't lose - it ended in a tie.

I listen to a news program every Sunday morning. For years now the anchor has annoyed the hell out of me every week. I live for her vacations. She's retiring after today. Thank you!

LJ quit grabbing my Twitter feed a couple of days ago. I don't know why and I'm not that happy about it.

I want to book CES for next year but Southwest does not quite go out that far and the hotel doesn't offer its CES rates until June (and as expensive as it was, I did not realize how much *more* it was without the CES special deal). So I wait... after years of having CES from Thurs-Sunday. This year it is from Tues-Fri and it's really confusing. Last year we went on Wed and came home on Sat. So this year we'll go on Mon and come home Thurs.

My head is completely healed and it sure does feel good to run my hands through my hair and NOT hit bumps (or scabs or stitches or bruises). Even expensive and painful, it was was worth it.

Ok Travis just got up so I guess I will, too.

Brooms on the bus

I thought my own neighborhood might be a little dotted with brooms and Yankee fans but I got on a bus north of town and it, too was full of both. And they were not all that happy to ride together.

Give a crappy team a couple of wins and they get really surly really quickly,

And, of course, Yankee fans are born surly.

Our bus drivers are not only not cute, they are not Canadian nice, either. On two different busses today, I snagged two entirely different ugly belligerent ones. Gimme Vancouver now, please.

But, the biscuits were delicious. I went to a new (to me) place for breakfast - a tiny place near the University that only started opening on Sundays today. They were very nice and the biscuits were very good but I wanted mine with 2 eggs over easy and bacon or sausage followed up with butter and maple syrup. Or with some country ham. They weren't that kind of place. They only had designer honey (for tea). No syrup of any kind. But it was cute and they were nice and I brought two buttermilk biscuits home with me.

Then on to my two retail errands. Then I spotted a branch of my bank and finally got those checks deposited, then I found the bus full of baseball fans and came home.

I just turned on the TV to find out that RootSportsNW, those great folks who bring us the televised broadcast had picked today to bring us BLACK. We got nuthin'. A tweet says they know about it and are working on it. I am sure heads will roll but I hope they fix it first and then start chopping those responsible.

I have the radio broadcast on my iPad which is better than nothing but the radio announcers suck and one of them makes my teeth ache.

Love it, just tweeted that I was using my iPad to get the game and got 3 5 tweets of spam offering me a free stuff. iPad must be the secret word for Send All Links To Bad Stuff Her., Love the internets.

In order to get a reimbursement for part of my insurance deductible, I had to mail a copy of the explanation of benefits with a simple form. I put both in an envelope addressed with my return address on the envelope. I slapped a stamp on it and put it in my purse. Actually it was sticking out of a side pocket so I wouldn't forget it.

I do not remember mailing it at all. I just discovered that I do not have it now. I'm guessing that it fell out on my travels around this morning.

If someone finds it and mails it, great. I'll get the $$. If they don't, I'll know cause I won't have the $$. I made copies so i can make more copies and re-mail it. There is nothing on either paper that could reveal any super secret info about me that they couldn't get a dozen other ways. So no risk.
