I got up early to get some work done before I left. But, I got snagged by Google + instead. If I were not leaving for most of the day, most of the day would be sucked in by this new toy anyway. I loved it when I first saw it and the more time I spend with it, the move I love it.

Initially, it seems so way better than twitter in so many ways. Of course, facebook was an option I rejected as quickly as I embraced this. It will not replace journaling for me but will add to it. And, hopefully, integration will be coming soon.

The interface is beautiful. The filtering is intuitive and perfect. The Android app is great and has a nice entry widget.

My only issue is that I don't have time to play with it now. I MUST get back to work NOW.

Find me, if you are playing with it susandenns @ gamil.com. Right now there it appears that I can invited anyone but that feature seems to come and go. If you want an invite, let me know and if the button's there, I'll 'do' you. (NOTE: I need your email address to extend an invite - so leav it in comments or send me an email with what address you want me to use.)

Just found this article explaining a little about invites... http://venturebeat.com/2011/06/29/google-opens-up-then-closes-google-plus-invites/

As the article says, there are NO invites now. So sorry. I have added and will add all of the requests I get with email addresses. They are added in as 'email only' for now. When invites become available, I'll click the invite button for each and every one. I promise.

I sent invites to [livejournal.com profile] machupicchu, [livejournal.com profile] seattlejo, [livejournal.com profile] bill_schubert last night when I was clueless about what I was doing - I figured that they could deal if adding them turned out to be fucked up. Seems like it actually turned out to be nothing... So far. But they should be on the lookout just in case.

We went to Walmart, Target, Fry's, JC Penney's. We got lost. We saw tons of stuff and had a great, great time. I got back and there were only 3 emails in my work in-basket. Nice. Had a great evening. Delicious burgers from the place across the street.

Testing of iPad which they had never seen and a netbook. Now my Kiwi friends have decided to get a Kindle and a netbook. Saturday, we're off to Best Buy. Oh and we did their laundry.

Tomorrow they are off to the Museum of Flight (which to which, it turns out, there is a city bus that leave from the stop in front of their hotel and goes right to the M of F. Could not be more convenient. Then the Space Needle and Pike Place and, as Julie says, 'If I get lucky, Scott can stay at the hotel and I can have a bit of a wander on my own.'

I gave him my CR-48 to play with because their otherwise very nice hotel charges $10 a day for WiFi??!!!! The CR-48 still has 100MB a month on Verizon for free.

Bed time now as I need to catch up on work starting early tomorrow!

the only change in today's basket is Travis! I opened the lid to take the shot and grabbed a ball of yarn and ran. I got it back and then he wanted it back. i think he was not wild about being left with Betty all day.
