Passive/agressive LJ friending

magsmom recently posted an entry Waking up LJ and she got an absolutely astounding amount of responses. Seriously, I'm amazed there are that many people left on LJ.

I did not add me to the list because I was late to the game and figured I'd get lost in the crowd. But I did go through and cherry picked a bunch o' new people to friend. I do miss he LJ of old when keeping up with my friend's page took time and effort. The quality is still there but, alas, these days, reading my friends page takes no time at all.

I get that the world is now on Facebook and I'm not but I'm old and stubborn.

So to those who get susandennis has added you... and you come here to check... welcome and hi! Don't feel compelled to add me back - all my entries are public so you can see them anyway.

I have three different eye drops. 2 have to go in 3 times a day and 1 goes in 4 times a day. And there has to be at least 5 minutes between each one. It's a fucking full time job. Especially when you factor in remembering and then hunting down where in the hell I left one bottle or another last time.
There is likely a better, more organized way to handle this but I'm growing pretty fond of the helter skelter bitch about it method.
And I'm good at this method.

I was wrong and I was right...

I was totally wrong about not having any work work today...

I ran over to the University Village mall first thing to check out a drawer fix. I wanted something that would sit on top of the rails and enable me to put stuff underneath it, too. I saw a dish drainer on the interwebs that looked like it might work. I got it. I brought it home. It needed one tiny modification which I accomplished with a hot razor blade and bam! It's a success!!

By the time I got home, the workday for my team members had started in earnest and I had a load o' bugs in my queue. They were for the more stressful of the two projects I am on but what the heck. I dug in and just now finished up. There's more to do but no more I can do til the checker guy does his checking. My paycheck is going to be mighty pleased with today.

Now I need to tid up the kitchen and put some stuff away and go get the mail and then figure out what's next... I'm not even sure what's for dinner! I do know tonight is baseball and bear knitting.

My neighbor, Ann just stopped by and told me that her husband, Ron, is in bad shape. He went in on Wednesday for an outpatient vein thing in his leg and it bombed. One of his legs has zero circulation below the knee. He's been in the hospital since and tomorrow morning will have a bipass. She's really worried. Sucks.

I am not a Thai expert but I'll bet there are folks out there who know of a good place she and her husband can try tomorrow night... yes?

Seriously, watching a baseball game on my TV is just amazing post cataract. The TV is HD but my eye was definitely LD. I knew it was hard to see well but I had no idea how wonderful it would be. Watching the game is good, being able to see the numbers and score and detail is great but tonight I'm so distracted by being able to actually see faces in the crowd. The crowd, before now, has always been a blur, I love seeing real people in real outfits, eating real food... hey, pass me a fry will ya?
