Last night I went to bed, turned out the light, closed my eyes and about 2 minutes later was choking to death. I'm guessing I must have aspirated my own spit. I was vertical in a nanoseconds and after some frantic coughing could breath again but wow. It took me a while to be able to lie down again. When I finally did, I slept better than I have in a while. I have a dread fear of ALS so I'm a little obsessive about swallowing issues. And, of course, I always think about and wonder how the end of my life will happen. At least I am far more curious than fearful.
This morning things seem to be fine and my throat isn't even sore. Wild.
Today I'm off to the West Seattle pool. It opens at 11. I'll be able to swim as long as I like. Nice. I've got no plans for after. I'll decide then.
The baseball game is at 1 but, honestly, I don't really care. My favorite announcer is replaced for this series by a guy who is half boring/half annoying and today's game is the third in the series against Cleveland. In the first two games, Cleveland has scored in double digits. Seattle has barely scored at all. I'm losing interest fast.
I spent a bit this morning on the Blocked IP problem. In trying various troubleshooting options, I managed, for awhile, to completely disconnect the internet from my network and had a bitch of a time getting it back. It was enough of a trauma to convince me to just leave it the fuck alone and live with the problem and/or wait for Comcast.
