Last night's sleep was not restful. Among other things, I dreamed that I took Zoey to CES. At 2:30, my internet radio came on saying the system had encountered an issue and reset and did I want to share the information with Logitech? I woke up at 6:10 and, of course, my alarm had not gone off but as soon as I touched it, the radio station came on. ???
I was up and reading the internets and drinking my coffee and my nose began to bleed. In past winters, I've had nose bleeds here and there - very small ones. This winter it hasn't been bad at all. I had a small one yesterday. But this morning was like an arterial blast. I finally got it stopped but only after a box of tissues. And I think I got it all out of the duvet and got my face cleaned up. I have 45 minutes before I have to leave for swimming so that will give me time to ensure it is really done.
My big project for soon - today, tomorrow, etc. is to rewire the computer situation in the living room. A few years ago when I had it all redone and had my desk built, I had a cable carrier built below so that you can't see any wiring. The designer came up with the design and it works way better on paper. Now that my CPU - the most cable hungry of them all - has gone to the hospital, I'm going to disassemble it all and see if I can organize it better. Plus when the CPU comes back it will be wireless so no need to have the ethernet cables, the wifi extender, the bridge and all their wires and cables.
I'll move the extender up to the top of the kitchen cabinet where it will be hidden, and give much better range. Plus, then I can plug the webcam into it and eliminate the cable that comes down the kitchen wall snaking into the living room. But, that will mean a paint retouch and the leftover paint I have is OLD.
So.... after swimming, I plan to go get a sample pot of that color. And I need a stop at the dollar store and both those places are right down the street from the nice iHop so I think I'll treat myself to breakfast there.

Ok, now it's 30 minutes and another or a follow on nose bleed. Another gusher. There will be no swimming. I can't trust this nose enough. It's stopped for now but it's a nasty bleed and I need to give it at least an hour before I can declare it sealed. So I'll hang here for an hour and then, if all is good, I'll go run my errands. Tissues just got added to the shopping list.

I tackled and completed 1/2 of the re-org re-wire project. The hardest part. The part that if it doesn't work leads down a techno rabbit hole. The part that requires me to climb onto the kitchen counter and so surely fall to the floor outside of the range of the webcam and so undiscovered for days.
But, alas, after one minor, fixable glitch, it went off without incident. The hardest part turned out to be getting the sticky residue left from the cable cover off the cabinets. Now, I have no ugly cable coming down from on high and I have amazing wifi reception in the far end of the condo! Yeah me! I did manage to decorate both hands and wrists and one forearm with large purple blood bruises. On the up side, my right arm looks like I have on a bangle bracelet!
I think I'll save the rest for tomorrow.
My brother had new portraits taken of his tech staff. I am crafting monthly 'Staff Spotlights' for the newsletter. I thought rather than have the spotlights decorated with little square school pictures, we should get the images done up like Wall Street Journal portraits. Turns out my graphic software skills fall just out of this range and my attempts were pathetic.
Then my brother sent me a link to one of his favorite websites - fiverr.com and this guy who does exactly what I wanted. $20 for all four of them. I sized up the shots on Thursday afternoon and Bill sent them off to this guy. The guy said he'd have them done by Monday.
Today - 2 days early - Bill got 5 different versions of each one and they are all amazing and fabulous. I love the internet.
I just had the best sandwich and now it's time to get back up and get to work. I need to put some stuff away and tidy up the kitchen and empty the dishwasher and then I can sit down again for as long as I want.

More nose bleed. Right in the middle of dinner. This is getting very annoying. It was my fault. It had been 7 hours and my nose was running - my nose always runs - and I blew it. Bad idea. From now on, I'll sniff. And inside my nose if a lovely, annoying, scab. Nice.

I posted my aggravation about my Linksys router on G+ which is copied to Twitter and I actually got a tweet from Linksys. I wonder if they will follow up. Meanwhile I put two different ones - NOT Cisco/Linksys - in my wish list on Amazon. I'll probably pull the trigger on one of them this week.
But, the big news is that finally finally finally, we have snow!!! It's coming down fast and furiously. It will likely be gone by daylight but for now...
