Since the very first issue, I have had a subscription to People Magazine. During years when I was poor, I shared a subscription with friends. In the last couple of years, I've gotten it on my Kindle Fire tablet - a nice implementation. But, no more. My People, my TV Guide and my Entertainment Weekly subscriptions (all lately e-subscriptions) expired at the same time and I'm not going to renew any of them. I'm done.
I have shorn up my rss lists instead. Way cheaper. As in free. Plus, dealing with magazine subscriptions these days is just too weird and annoying. So done.
Last week, I walked out the front door with the Land's End swimsuits boxed up to take the prepaid postage box to the post office. When I got to the street, there was the mail carrier in her truck. I asked her if she could take the package and she was clearly NOT happy about it but agreed. I gave it to her. This may have been a mistake. The tracking shows that it arrived at the post office on April 29 and then on May 4 was 'processed by the agent'. I think she did the post office equivalent of pissed off waiter and spit on my package. It may be a while before I get my $130 back. At least I have a tracking number.
For the second night in a row, the Mariners lost in the bottom of the 9th again last night. So tiresome.
Time to get up and get dressed and walk.
