I need to stop ordering fabric and stop stopping at the fabric store with my pocketbook open. This is getting out of control. So. The. End.
I wore yesterday's suit to the pool today and it was great. Felt good, swam good, and I got two compliments on it. But it does make an excellent case for lining all my suits. Ya know how popular wet tshirt contests are? Because fabric that is wet becomes pretty transparent. No one should have to see that kind of detail of my butt crack. At least not for free.
So I stopped at the fabric shop to get lining and elastic. Flat invisible elastic for lets and fold over elastic/trim for neck and arm holes. That's it. The last $ spent on suits until all are made and worn.
At least the sun is not out today. Yesterday was a killer. In the pool (sun coming in from the windows), on the street, in the car, the sun's glare just about did me in yesterday. I like daylight a lot - prefer it - but not sun glare. Today is nice and gray. We never got the storm that was promised yesterday but now they are promising a new one. I still have too many leaves on my trees so bring it on!

These are my next two suits. The green and pink will be lined with pink and the other one will be lined with white. I got the linings done and the suits cut out but I'm going to save the rest for tomorrow. I'm working with two new (to me) different kinds of elastics and I want to take my time and do it right. These fabrics are pretty high quality, 4 way stretch and I love both patterns. I don't want to fuck them up.
I got all the laundry done and I walked nowhere. I left the condo twice. Once to go downstairs to pick up a package from FedEx and once to go downstairs and pick up a package from the post office. I think, after dinner tonight, I'll go at least do a building walk.
One of our two NPR stations is being shut down and eaten up by the other one. Not good at all. The one that's being tanked had the best newsroom. PLUS, I have for several years now relied on one when the other had a pledge drive and vice versa. So not good.
And, on the heels of that news, my fitness band - Misfit - got sucked into Fossil (which has no tech). So lord knows what will happen there. Hopefully someone will come out with a good fitness band that tracks swimming, looks nice and works on a watch battery before Misfit goes completely down the tubes.
But, on the bright side, I have pizza for dinner!
