I'm up and ready to swim but the pool doesn't open til 8 so I have an hour to kill.

Contrary to my predictions, all my work yesterday did not leave me sore today. Plus, my hands and arms escaped bruise free. It used to be that doing all the stuff I did yesterday would have left me with large red purple patches all over my hands and arms. Reducing the Advair (inhaler) dosage really has turned out to be a wonder.

Plus, I love my new computer set up. It's so tidy. And it is lovely to have a working computer in that place again. It's been nearly a year since I've had a Windows computer that didn't put up a giant fight every time I tried to use it. My chromebook does 90% of all the computing I need and does it perfectly, quickly, and without fussing. But that other 10% has been a major PIA to get done. No more. Even iTunes is working like I think it should. (It still sucks but it sucks a lot less when it works.)

My brother and his wife are going on an anniversary blues cruise. On paper, it sounds great (they love blues music) and I sure hope it is. But, they don't have great vacation karma. My sister-in-law has a difficult time staying healthy. They aren't going to buy internet and so will be totally out of pocket for 5 days. I don't see how he can do it. If I owned a small business, I'd be in major stress knowing that two kids were running it and if they hit a snag, they have to use their own common sense to fix. Oh and what if something happened to the house (attached to the shop), the animals (2 dogs, 2 cats, tank full of fish) and they couldn't figure out what to do. I am way too much of a control freak to unhook like that.

But, I hope hope hope, all is trouble free and they get great music and stay healthy and just have a great week. They have been married for nearly 25 years. Third marriage for both.

This weekend, I really have no plans. Swim, sew, knit. Nice.

Yum

After my swim, I was on the way to a favorite breakfast place when I stopped into Trader Joe's for salad dressing (their creamy blue cheese is really the best). They had an excellent selection of good avocados - some ripe for now, some ripe tomorrow and some in a few days. Perfection. So I got one for today and one for a few days and decided to come home and make an omelette.

It was exceptionally tasty.

Swimming was very good. My shoulder twinge of yesterday did not come back at all. Whew.
