That Judy Collins was born and spent her first 10 years right here in Seattle. She's exactly 10 years older than I am so she knew Seattle in the 40's. I'm weirdly fascinated by this.

Great swim this morning. Got there early, so finished early, beat all the traffic and still manged to see and swap 'hi's' with the regulars.

I have today's walks all planned. This morning I'm going over to Daiso (the Japanese dollar store where everything is $1.50). I have 3 things on my list. Next to it is the Japanese grocery and I plan to score some of their fabulous crispy almond cookies to bring home. This afternoon's walk will be up to the post office to mail a return to Amazon.

Before and after there will be doll making and tending to whatever else comes along. My new phone gets here tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to that.

It's still a couple of hours before the stores open so I think get house chores done and maybe a doll sewn while I wait.

I did my two walks - to the International District and then, this afternoon, to the post office. The Japanese dollar store did not have 3 of the items on my list. Their inventory is weird. They run out of stuff a lot but they'll get it back in later.

At the Japanese grocery I nearly hit the panic button. They have changed the crispy almond cookies. A new vendor and a new look. I bought two boxes but was stressed all the way home wondering how they taste. They tasted fine. Maybe even better than the old ones! Whew. Bullet dodged.

It's so cold. I listened to my book on both walks and it was ok. I made 3 dolls and cut out the bits for about 10 more. All in all, a fine day so far.
