The sun is hiding behind clouds. I hope he's taking a time out to reflect on his VERY BAD behavior of yesterday. At least I can have the blinds up today without being assaulted.

When I had canned lights added to my living room ceiling a few years ago, I splurged and made them LEDs and I am so glad that I did. Light without heat. But, my undermount cabinet lights in the kitchen are cheap LEDs and they do throw out heat. So I ordered a couple of small motion sensor lamps for the dark corners and, hopefully, that will give me light without the extra heat. I also got a small LED bed side lamp so that I don't have to have the overhead lamp on (NOT LED).

I'm all about the cool now.

And drugs. I have two more days of prednisone and I plan to wallow in them. No coughing at all and feeling FINE with energy and enthusiasm to burn. I know that it won't last once the drug stops but it will be better than before and at least I have a guarantee of fab for two more days. It's seriously my drug of choice.

Today is sewing. I have an idea for a Mariners blouse (for the two upcoming day games) that has more air flow. But, first I want to try it out on some cheap fabric. So that's today's main project. IF it stays cool enough to work in the sewing room (which is farthest away from the air conditioner or any air source so it may not be doable for long).

No baseball today - day off. But, I can't wait til the next broadcast. The local TV coverage is done by Roots Sports NW. They have this shtick called # where I root. They want everyone to post pictures of where they are when they are rooting on the team. They do it 4 or 5 times throughout a game. I don't know why but it always annoys the crap out of me.

BUT now [livejournal.com profile] siobhan63 tells me that root is OZ for fuck. And now I love love love Where I root! I can't wait to see the annoying pictures of people with their stupid hash tag and the announcement about where they fuck.

And in other baseball news, my next Diamond game is a week from tonight. And it is 1. at night yeah. and 2. They've now turned it into fireworks night! And the pool won't open until 8 am on Tuesday (because it's the 4th) so I get to sleep in. Nice antidote for yesterday.

My friends from New Zealand will be here a week from tomorrow. I have a nice list going of things we need to do, see and places we need to eat. They are only here from Tuesday afternoon to Saturday morning. My list is now too long. Sigh. Wonder if they'd be up for more than 3 meals a day. Hmmmmm

It's OK

I got out to the ATM and to grab a sandwich while it was still cloudy so mercifully cool. I even walked the longer way to take longer advantage of it. Then the sun came out and I scurried back home. It's now overcast a little which is nice.

The sewing room stayed warm but tolerable. I got my shirt finished and it's ok. It looks pretty much like a K-Mart fat lady's shirt but that's because of the fabric I used. I ironed out the kinks in the pattern and got rid of that fabric which I didn't like anyway. So now I'm ready for THE good shirt.

It's going to be the same pattern but with woven fabric - Mariners fabric blocked with navy and some red trim. The navy and red coming from old sheets. It's going to be really fun and very airy. I'm jazzed. I got all the pieces cut out but I know better than to start a new project in the afternoon. I am a morning person and starting something in the afternoon is just asking for trouble.

So now I'm in front of the air conditioner where I think I'll hang til dinner and likely after. My sweater is done but for trim. However, the trim is all along the sweater bottom which means the whole, heavy, thing has to be in my lap to do it. Nope. Thanks. Plenty of time for that when it's not so friggin hot.

I have a new knitting project that is way smaller and lighter weight. I'll start on that.

I found a new maybe for bears and dolls. It's a different baby bank. I sent them an email today asking. Here's hoping. I hate hate hate begging people to take my stuff. I need a charity agent :)

I just remembered the geraniums in window boxes on the terrace. Bet there are some dead heads that need getting gone and they are thirsty. On it.

When I went out to garden (i.e. tend to my two window boxes of geraniums), I noticed it was not africa hot. At all. It was kind of nice out. Not at all like yesterday.

When I came back in, I happened to check my tracker and I was sorely in need of steps and nothing in the fridge was calling out to dinner so I thought of options. My first few choices weren't enough steps. So I went over to the Japanese market and got Thai food from the food court. Also I picked up a poke bowl for lunch tomorrow which now begs the question about where tomorrow's steps are going to come from since no lunch outing. hmmmmm

It did get a little too warm coming home - still so not like yesterday. When I got home I checked and it's 75 degrees. So now I know overcast and 75 or lower - clear sailing for a walk. Especially since I now have the barometer of yesterday. Last Summer, I rarely went outside at all. I walked around the garage if I walked at all. I'm going to be better this year. I hope.

There's a fun LJ friendzy going on here.
