Last night's baseball game was exhausting and I didn't even care about the outcome. I cannot imagine what it must have been like for the fans of both teams. Particularly the fans in Houston. Flood wounds fresh, they pay top dollar for a ticket to the 5th game which may not even happen and then it does and OMG did they get their money's worth. It's totally the funner side of baseball.
It was nice to get back to the weekday routine at the pool. Weekends are not good swimming times. All the regulars were back this morning and it was lovely.
My new phone has this really cool feature. It tells you the name of the song and the artist whenever it ears music. And it does this without having to do anything. When I first heard about it, I thought 'now, there's something I'll never use'... Wrong. Again. Just now, I clicked on a video in Twitter - a little 5 second thing playing a song I don't know. My phone is sitting here, next to the laptop, not turned on and, yet, up pops the singer and the name of the song. I love it. I didn't even know I wanted this and now it's my favorite thing.
The Bed Remote Control Guy is coming back this afternoon to install the bit that they did not install when their first set up the bed 4 years ago. I assumed he was going to forget about it and in a month, I'd send him a WTF email and we'd go on like this for ages. Wrong again. The missing piece is an emergency bed flattener. Like if you have the bed cranked up and lose electricity. It runs on 9 volt batteries and can, with the push of a button, flatten the bed in a pinch. Not critical, obviously, but nice to have.
And, that's about it for the planned action around here this week. Plenty of uninterrupted time to do whatever happens to appeal to me that minute. Nice, very nice. What appeals to me this minute, however, appears to be feeding a certain cat. Then some sewing.
