No swimsuits died this morning! Whew. The pool got kind of crowded but nicely, it waited until I was nearly done. I will be glad when these 8 am openings are done. Too much traffic. On the roads and in the pool.
I stopped by McDonald's for a sausage biscuit for breakfast and the drive through line was horrendous. I realize now that I usually drive by 3 hours earlier so it was unusual for me. But, there was a parking spot just by the door so I pulled in and went in. Using the new kiosk to order and pay makes the whole pop in experience so much better, more pleasant and faster. I had my order and was driving out when the car that I would have been behind pulled up to the pay window.
SCORE! Oh and also the sausage biscuits were on sale for $1. Double score.
My new passion arrived last night and early enough for me to get started. It's a wow. The instruction booklet is many pages. I'd love to know the bits and pieces count. I'm guessing maybe 500 or so depending on how you count. The instructions are what I would call 75% complete. They tell you want to do and give you hints but they don't always tell you how to do it.

It's a very satisfying level of make for me. My plan is to stick to the program as precisely as possible with this, my first one. I want to learn how they want me to do it. But, I can already tell where swapping out fabrics and bits for other/better bits would be fun and creative.
I made a bookshelf and an another shelf and started on an end table drawer. I am very much looking forward to getting back to it.
And that's exactly what I'm going to do today. All day, if I want.
I'm not a big end of year/beginning of year/resolutions kind of person and certainly not now that I'm old. I used to use up all my energy trying to remember to use the correct year when I wrote a check. Thankfully, I no longer have to worry about that either. Whew.
