A couple of weeks ago, I wondered here whether the hassle of making reservations and the torture of the drive there and back was worth the swim. Today I decided that it was not. I'm done.
When I woke up this morning, I really did not want to go. But, I had reserved a spot. And I was sure it would feel worth it once I got into the water. And it kind of did but not enough. And the drive home was worse than the drive there, cementing my decision. I had a reservation for tomorrow and I canceled it.
I might go again when the house cleaner comes. I'll decide that then but for now. It's me and the treadmill.
When I got home, finally, Robby was working in the kitchen. This morning, before I left for the pool, I had him do the back of the house. Apparently, 55 minutes before I got home, he got bored and decided to do it again and now also the living room and kitchen. Ok, buddy. Whatever floats your boat. Biggie does not care. He's outside in his tree.
I need $5 bills for Diamond Club tipping. I dug through all my pockets and caches and finally found 4. I only need one per game but $5 bills are hard to come by these days and I want to get in a stash. I no longer use cash. I've had a $20 bill tucked in between my phone and the case for two years now. I do use $20s to pay the house cleaner but cutting one of those in 4 pieces ain't going to work. My credit union has a full service branch near the gym and they are open on Saturdays. Problem solved. Except. Juneteenth holiday. Ooops. Ok, well, I have 3 games to come up with a Plan B.
The Mariner game last night was quite satisfying. And my Boston Red Sox fans are grateful we beat Tampa Bay. Yer Welcome. We're going to try again tonight. I was a bit obsessed with watching last night to see if I could see my seat on the batter's shot. But I am about 3 seats too far to the right. So my anonymity is preserved.
Time now for a little lunch and then I'm going to kick back, knit and watch TV.
