Me Day

But, Susan, ALL your days are Me Days. Yeah well ok. BUT today, I have nothing I have to do, no one who is after me for whatever, my house is clean, my laundry is done and afternoon baseball game...

And my cat is happy. He's been out on the ledge and back in and out again... just doing his Biggie thing.



He's now back on the ground keeping an eye on everything.

He even let me trim his a nail this morning.

I think I'm going to back off on food changes. Mieshelle did explain that he might still be on the tail end of settling in on his medication which can cause some appetite suppression. And I did ask her about getting Biggie another cat to play with. She didn't come down hard on one side or the other but we were on Zoom and her face said 'bad idea'. Which is fine by me.

She promised me a report by last night. No report. Oh well. Maybe today.

The stock market is taking a dive today which means I'll be poor tomorrow. It's ok. I've been poor before. Every year it matters less really. To me anyway. To my heirs maybe not so much. Ha!

Time to get going on this me day. Game's at 1. Last game with the *^f3&#@8 Yankees, thankyoujesus.

doh - wasted

I just realized that this is the coolest day for the next few and I could have used it to empty out the terrace cupboards. What a dummy.

The big project my brother and I will tackle when he gets here is terrace redo. I have four large and very cold cabinets out there. They all need to go. They aren't full - I did a major purge before - but they do have a lot o' shit in them. I need to get all that stuff out of there and into the house so that the HaulMyJunk guys can get them out and down to their truck.

I'm going to load up the living room nooks and crannies. The junk guys are scheduled for 9 am Monday. My brother arrives on Sunday so I want to have it all done and ready by the time he gets here Sunday.

I think I'll get some done after the game and do the rest tomorrow morning.

Biggie has been all over the terrace ledge today. He's been in and out, playing with this and that and bringing in exactly ZERO birds! Also seeming like his old, happy self. No biting. Just now he's under the bed enjoying his afternoon nap. I'm sure he'll help with the terrace project.

We are an inning from the end and the Mariners are not losing. It would be so nice to take one from these asshole* Yankees. *They actually have been fine this time. Played well and fans who have been nice. But hating the Yankees is just required.

The Mariners shut out the Yankees. Take that and leave town!

And then I got busy outside. Turns out, there was not nearly as much stuff out there as I thought. And most of it is either Stuff For Goodwill or Stuff to Put Stuff In or, if not used in the redo, then on to Goodwill.

I'm going to hold off bringing in the furniture until my brother gets here because I think he's going to say "why do you think we need to bring it in?" And I'm going to say "so the junk haulers can get to the junk" and he's going to say "oh we can just..."

I do think I'm going to have to take down the cat door/AC vent but that's a Monday morning thing.

All's good for now. I do wish I could speak cat so I could explain it all to Biggie who's face is all "whatthefuck is going on?????"
