Gone... til ext time

I took bill_schubert to the airport this morning. This visit seemed like the perfect length of time for getting in all the todo's, all the eating and all the visiting we needed. We are now both recharged and ready to survive on texts and emails again until the next time.

I am so lucky to have him in my life.

Now I am doing chores. Somehow Robby lost his map of the house. I remapped him and now he's doing the first vacuum this house has had for a week. His little dust bin is going to be full.

Biggie is outside bird hunting when he's not inside looking for Bill.

I sent a bunch of emails - to the car guy for an appointment to for annual maintenance, to the cat behaviorist to move our next call appointment, to my Mariners guy to fix a ticket issue... takin care of bizness...

I need lettuce and bread. So I may go out in a bit. But those are my own plans. No baseball today. Maybe some laundry. But, I think I'll probably spend the bulk of the day just enjoying all the changes we made around here and appreciating the new simplicities we created.

I went back through pictures to confirm, but the last time Biggie jumped up into his tree and settled in for a nice long nap was the first week of June. A couple of hours ago, he just hopped up there and settled in like he used to do every day. And he's been there ever since. Wild.

The fourth and final load of laundry is drying now. I decided to toss in the kitchen towels and terry robes and all the stuff that only gets the once-in-a-while wash. Everything is put away from the first four loads already.

I rearranged some of the food cabinets to move the cat food there. I moved Biggie's dry food out of his food tree for now and into a bowl on the counter next to a bowl of wet food. We shall see.

I had leftover prime rib and left over french fries with salad for lunch. Delish.

My Mariner guy totally fixed my ticket issue and now I have a Diamond Club ticket to one of the Blue Jays games!! It's middle August so I don't think the usual Canadians will be there, tho. They always make Blue Jay games funner.

Still no word from the cat behaviourists office which is really beginning to piss me off. Also no word from the Mercedes guy but he usually takes a couple of pings and I'm in no hurry there.

The stock market is tanking today. I don't even want to see how much I've lost. I get daily balances first thing every morning. Tomorrow morning is going to be u g l y.

So I am just going to enjoy the heck out of today.
