I had the last of my cheese and sausage biscuits this morning. So delicious. And now that I know the freezer trick, I can make a bunch that will last me for a while.

I am reading the most delightful book. It's outside my usual norm of murders and thrillers but it is every bit as compelling. America for Beginners by Leah Franqui. It's delightful and full of really rich images. I'm enjoying the heck out of it.

It's not yet 9 and the house is fully freshly vacuumed.

Here you can see it's nearly done. (I do the living room (room 1) while I'm on the treadmill. Room 2 is the kitchen and then the bedroom hallway and sewing room. Here Robby is finishing up the hallway by the front door. (He's the dot. The front door - to the common hallway - is just above the % . ) Robby is a hard worker.

I made an appointment at Costco for my flu shot. The house cleaner comes on Wednesday so I made it then. Their online shot (all kinds of shots, actually) scheduler is pretty slick and easy.

It's blissfully cool here this morning. The thermometer on the terrace says 59 degrees. We have a couple of hot days left in the forecast but I think we're getting near the end. Hallefuckinglooyah. It's so quiet without the air conditioner on. I need to start thinking about storing it. Things around here have been reorganized since I got it out last Spring. I think I kind of have a plan.

And speaking of org... I did get all the baking stuff a new and easy to get to spot in the kitchen yesterday and also did all the laundry. And also won the ballgame. It was a good day.

I got donuts! I ate the heart one already. Delish.

I rearranged stuff so that when the a/c is ready to shut down for the winter, he'll have a nice place to live. I may need to talk [livejournal.com profile] ljtourist into coming over and helping me re hang the curtain but maybe I can get it. I was able to do it myself! Now that I can get to my good step ladder, I can get higher than I could on the old crappy one that went to Goodwill so the curtain's up and it looks great. A/C unit will live behind the curtain.

The woman who helped me redecorate this joint almost 20 years ago, found these two nesting tables. One is about 4 feet tall and one about 3 feet. They are, honestly, not the best - they are kind of weird and cheap looking. At the time, I almost told her no. But, damn, I have used the shit out of both of them. And again today. They are perfect corner pieces. I moved one to the bedroom and the shorter one to the corner today just a small reswizzle.

Then I made biscuits. And a mess. I need to figure out tidier biscuits. I baked four and froze two. My little oven really only does four at a time. It's a fair trade off for not having to preheat!

Next time I might try making them taller. I need to breakfast these, though, and see if taller would work for me really.

The kitchen is now all cleaned up. It is so much easier when everything has a place to go. I do love tidy. Now I think I'll put my feet up and tend to my knittin'
