I was sleepy early last night so I went to sleep early. No big deal. Two hour later the building's fire alarm went off. For about 15 minutes. Biggie and I were both annoyed but we didn't move much. In the early years, I used to grab pets and clothes and shoes and go down the stairs with everyone else. But I quit that years ago. Playing the odds with a little Idon'tgiveashit thrown in. After a while we heard the fire engines and then after another while, the blaring stopped. I have not been outside my unit this morning, but so far I'm seeing no signs that we burned up.

But, we did sleep in a little.

Twitter, this morning, is all a twitter about wind, though. We must have had some major action. Massive trees down. Lots of electricity out. And businesses closed. Some schools closed and others on Indoor Lunch Protocol which I did not even know was a thing.

Oh my just saw a tweet from a few blocks from here where a tree is blocking the road - a city London Plane tree like mine! But, of course, mine still stands. sigh.

Biggie is in my lap now - a lovely warm bundle. He's been biting me again but still differently - not as vehemently. I have been able to talk him out of it. I did just now. I feel like we can reach a non-biting agreement with time.

Also I think his conversion to wet food is pretty much done. He's got 3 or 4 kinds that he likes so we've got some supply chain insurance. I feed him first thing in the morning and then again later in the day - he usually gives me an indication wen it's time. He eats about half and leaves the rest. I have learned to just leave it and he will eat it later. Also we're back to kitchen counter eating. It's just easier on both of us.

Today's chore is bathrooms. I'm on it.

I didn't do much today which was fine because I didn't have anything I needed to do. When I'm sitting, I'm fine but when I get up and move, I don't have the breathing I need to. Weird.

I need to track the use of my main inhaler better and use my rescue inhaler more to see if that makes a difference. Tomorrow I think I'll go make a grocery run and test out the situation.

I want to wait until January before I go check in with my lung doctor. So I have a couple of months to gather data.

We had weather today. Massive wind gusts - my terrace curtains were flying. And rain. Pretty much all day. It was kind of fun to watch.

My replacement sim arrived and my phone lives again.
