More of 2021
Dec. 31st, 2021 08:10 amI woke up at 4 am today and never did get back to sleep. I got up at 5 and got onto the treadmill. Amy Schneider is making my treadmill walks far more interesting than they should be. May she keep winning Jeopardy forever, please.
This happened a couple of weeks ago - my waking up so early and it didn't kill me so now I'm fine about it. Just more day to my day.
The high today is predicted to be 31 degrees (0) so nothing is going to melt much so I'm not going to risk any slip and slide. There is no need for me to leave this condo and so I don't plan to. Sunday it's supposed to get up to 42 degrees so maybe I'll do a store walk then. Goodwill should be back open.
I have an easy indicator. There's a large pile of snow in the parking lot across the street. It looks to be the size of about 4 SUV's. When it gets down to VW Beetle size, I think it will be safe for me to walk outside.
It must be going to be a very cloudy day as it's now 8 am and still not light enough out to see much.
But, not cloudy in here. I do need to organize my yarn work. I have a large number (even for me) of projects underway and they are spilling out everywhere. Possibly time to retire (give up) some and move others to safer ground. The one that I'm wedded to finishing come hell or high water is my temperature blanket. I can do all but the last square today and I might just do that once the rest are squared away.
I'm not a big end of the year-er. I don't do New Years Eve celebrations. I don't do resolutions or New Years things. I do make sure my financial end of the year is in order. Pretty easy this year.
The fall always seems more of a new beginning to me than this time of year. I will be glad when the holidays are over and people get back to work and TV gets back to regular programming and we can, once again, take our trash down to the dumpsters!!
Now it's nearly daylight and two little gray birds are out in the tree entertaining Biggie. All's right with the world. Except viruses.
