I am never going outside again
Aug. 14th, 2023 11:12 amExcept to the pool in the mornings. And maybe if/when it cools down. Yeah we finally caught up to the rest of the world and it sucks.
It wasn't bad going to and from the pool but clearly play outside is less of an option as the pool was packed. It will be interesting to see what it's like on Tues-Thurs which are generally commute to office days.
As soon as it opened this morning, I scurried onto Costco. It wasn't early enough. It was hot and it was busy. But I got some breakfasts and some cough pills and a pizza. I made one more stop and then came home where I will stay thankyouverymuch.
I'm on a last chance Diet Dr. Pepper kick. The big bottles are too big to handle and lose their fizz before I finish them anyway. The regular size bottles are too cumbersome to buy at the store and carry home and no one delivers them. The small bottles are only available via Amazon shipping and I no longer trust amazon to bring me un-off Diet Dr. Pepper.
Cans are way easier to transport but I can't drink a whole one and lost fizz. So I got some fizz keepers that are supposed to preserve the fizz. My last stop today was to pick up some cans of DDP for trial. Stay tuned!
Also on Amazon today... Every time I lower the blinds to keep the sun out, Julio fucks with them. He's already got three out of the four misaligned. It's a bitch and a half to realign them. And he won't leave them alone. This morning, I thought, I need an air horn! Amazon did not have what I had in mind at least not for delivery any time soon. But then I thought WAIT A DAMN MINUTE!!! And googled air horn sounds. Now I have a button on my computer that makes a nice, loud satisfying horn noise for the next time he tries it. Ha!!!
The A/C fix it guys are coming Friday. The building repair guys are coming tomorrow. I haven't heard from the electrician but no big hurry there.
I have pizza for lunch and pizza for dinner and pizza for the fridge.The costco pizza is gynormous but it's only $10 and it is good.
I need to close my Citi Costco credit card account. I use it ONLY for Costco and it's not worth the hassle of tracking a separate account. I kept it because it was so handy to just click 'charge to the card on my account' when I checked out but today that didn't work so I'm done. Closing accounts are always such a PIA but I'm doing it. Today. Once it's closed, I just need to get a new pic taken and they'll give me a new non-visa card. Oh, that's another reason why I haven't canceled. My Citi Costco Visa cards has a damn decent photo of me! ha.
Ok, enough screwing around. I need to put stuff in the freezer and eat some of that pizza.
