What a difference

This morning when I pulled out of the driveway it was so clear and bright, it felt like someone had washed the windshield. No more smoke. Whew. Very nice.

So, of course, all those places I wanted to go yesterday but couldn't because of smoke, are no longer appealing. ha! In fact, I just ordered lunch to be delivered.

Actually lunch, dinner and lunch and dinner for tomorrow. There's this kind of Hawaiian/fusion/Asian place that's long been a favorite of mine. I haven't been there in a while. There's a hookah lounge next door and last Saturday night there was a shootout at the hookah lounge and several people were killed. All the news stories showed the restaurant. Great publicity. Not. So, I figured they could use the biz. It's not even that far from here, I could go pick it up but I'm lazy.

My one second a day videos are suffering from the new dynamics of Biggie and Julio. They don't play together nearly as much as they used to. They kind of each have their own thing. They still chase each other throughout the house but they are too fast to capture. I'm having to do some solo shots. :( They were both asleep with me on the bed when I woke up this morning, though.

They are both due for some shots soon. I have an appointment with the mobile vet set up but I was thinking that maybe I might cancel it and take them both when my brother is here to help. Maybe. My regular vet is now taking appointments (they have always been a 'walk in' operation) so maybe we'll just do that. Maybe.

I have a few little things I want to get done today but mostly it's going to be crochet and TV or book. The Mariner game is at 5.

No word from the washer/dryer.
No word from the a/c wifi.
HOA meeting last night was canceled so not even any condo gossip.

Sigh.

good news/bad news and a laugh

My lunch arrived and it is not delicious. And it's also dinner and meals tomorrow so - not such an excellent deal but whatever. Maybe it will be better after it chills in the fridge.

I just got an email from my appliance guy. The pedestal for my new machine has arrived!!! The machine, sadly, has not. But I feel like it's progress.

The pedestal was not cheap but after I saw the floor model of the machine at Best Buy, I was soooooo glad I spent the extra. It makes the whole thing the perfect height and without it, I'd be bitchin' about bendin'.

So... more... waiting...

Just as I have run out of TV series to watch and was facing an afternoon of the last season of Billions which hasn't even been very watchable for the last couple of seasons... I get an email from Britbox with a new series that looks just like what I need.

So... gotta go!
