My brother got here fine and dandy. Well, we almost bought it at the airport. I pulled up and he was putting his suitcase in the back. I got out because I'd rather he drive. But, in the excitement of it all, I left it in drive. And it started rolling. I managed to hop back in (lordknows how) and hit the break before any damage was done but yikes on a stick. It scared the shit out of me. And the air. I couldn't breathe without coughing for a while.

Since then, gravy.

The electrician came yesterday and fixed the light in the kitchen and changed my 220 outlet to a regular one. Both he and his assistant were as nice as they could be. I hope I don't need an electrician again but if I do...

We went to a new (to me) place for dinner and it was very meh. I've had worse but we don't have to go back there again.

This morning, my brother went to the delicious bakery down the street and got pastries for breakfast.

In a bit we will leave to go check out the senior living place. I'm guessing it will take us about 45 minutes to get there.

The Mariners are on a losing streak. This is not good.

Taking my brother to investigate the senior community was one of the smartest things I've ever done. Today we went to Timber Ridge and met with the marketing person, Pam.

Honestly I was sure I would hate it and walking in the front door was not impressive but from there on, everything was great and it was so great to have a second opinion on it all. Bill was a little more impressed than I was which pulled me more into that direction.

The physical facility is really lovely in a bunches of different ways. And the amenities are really plentiful and very very nice.

And the pool is saline, not chlorine and was begging me to come do laps.

Pam was patient with all my questions and Bill asked good ones, too.

And I can really see it - me, living there.

The next step is to meet with their accountants and hand over a chunk o' change to secure a waiting list spot and probably aim for sometime next fall/winter.

In other news... while we were out, one of my cams went out and I could not start it remotely. When we got home we discovered that a whole circuit was out - the one next to where Quincy, the electrician was working yesterday. We tried the circuit breakers and nothing. So I texted him and bless his heart, he came right over and looked at it all and then hit the orange button on the CFGI outlet in the kitchen and all was fixed.

I felt like the very opposite of a genius. DOH! He was so kind and gracious about it. What a wonderful find this guy is.

Tonight we are going to fancy dinner at the Metropolitan Grill. Yum.
