No Debtors' Prison for me... this time
Jul. 8th, 2024 09:34 amI called BECU this morning and begged and they granted - after a seriously long hold time - my wishes. They made all the funds instantly available so when the checks hit the fan, there will be funds. Whew. I still want to move more around but now I'm going to chill my gills until everything I did this weekend is all settled in first.
The long phone call made my swim later than usual but it was a fine, good, swim.
My refrigerator has issues. A couple of times now it has flipped the breaker switch. No reason I can see. I open it and no light. Flip breaker back and it's fine. It's a side door with freezer drawer below. Opening the fridge door often takes super human strength. There have been times when I honestly thought maybe I was not going to be able to get into it. But, then, other times, it opens fine. This attitude seems tied to nothing.
I can stand there and open and shut if 5 times in a row. Number 3 will stick while 1,2,4 and 5 are fine. Or Number 2 sometimes or Number 4. I can leave it alone for an hour and try to open it and it opens fine. OR it takes super human strength. Depends on its mood. I put in a service call, it will open without issue. Guarantee.
Druids is my guess.
Amazon Prime Days is saving me a bundle. I had a pile of smallish to mediumish ($50-$100) items I wanted but held off until some money came in. But, now, I can't buy them because they may be very cheaper next week. I had a fairly long list but in review, I nixed about half. Maybe by next week, I'll feel the same about the rest and just nuke the whole list. Now that's some real Prime Day savings!
Lunch today with John and Hazel, I hope, and probably Myrna. No Mariner game, thankgod. They have been very painful to watch.
I'm at the end of my current book so I need to pick another from the queue. Still watching New Tricks but a couple of series that I've been waiting until all the episodes have dropped are coming ready so good TV.
My Dish Network subscription special has come to an end. So now I'm paying the full boat $120 a month. That's a lot. Still better than Fubo but still a lot. At the end of baseball, I had planned to keep it but now I don't know... I have some time to consider.
