My Last Day
Mar. 12th, 2004 12:57 pmSo this is my last non-working work day. And I'm ok with that. The past couple of days have been hard to maneuver. I have felt like I should have been taking better advantage of the time but no clue as to how or even why. So this is it. Come Monday, I'll be on the bus and I'm ready.
My BooksonTape book came so I listened to it today on my walk. I don't think it's going to be a favorite but I may be judging harshly and too early. It was kind of inconvenient to take an additional appliance - the (relatively speaking) bulky cassette player. But, not a big deal as long as it's chilly enough for my down vest which has nice big pockets for putting stuff in.
I did make a run to Radio Shack where I got a backup plug thing and some new earphones - stereo/over the ear - for Treo/cassette player. I wanted one with a volume control on the cord. $9.99.
Then home to The Last Friday's General Tso's Chicken lunch at the deli. The little Korean ladies in the kitchen were a hoot. They said they would behave themselves while I was gone. I will miss them and their chicken.
Now I'm listening to the Spring Training Mariners/Cubs game. And I'm playing with a new piece of software that lets my Treo take little mini movies. It's still in very pre-alpha-production and so far there's not way to turn the movies into anything that can be viewed much of anywhere except on Treo, but it's still fun to play with.
